One for Ed001 if about. What do you make of Harry Redknapps comments about lfc and do you agree? Cheers

Redflynn05

{Ed001's Note - I haven't seen them, have you got a link to them?}

'Worst Liverpool side I've seen in a while'

'They will do well to make the top 5'

2.) 03 Sep 2015 14:44:37
Really? How long is 'A While'?
Our team under Hodgson was pretty dire

Also eds if you do answer, what is your opinion on him as a manager? Personally I would have liked him at Liverpool so long as his spending was monitored. I think he did a brilliant job at spurs and shouldn't have left. Though that was mainly the FA fault for tapping him up xx

{Ed001's Note - he was hopeless. How did he do a brilliant job? He was just lucky that the media loved him and so only reported good things about him. Dreadful manager.}

4.) 03 Sep 2015 21:51:32
Personally ed I thought when arry was at spurs they were one of the best pl sides, considering the state they were in under Ramos, I also feel he helped bale and modric become top players although I know he never fancied bale but he was still the guy who playedhim left wing. Also I feel he would have done a much better job at England than woy. A few years back I would have liked to see him manage us. Just my opinion bro

{Ed001's Note - hahaha you must be reading too many papers. This is Harry who never took training on the training ground just watched his coaches do it, so how did he make Bale and Modric better? Modric was already top class, it is just that people here know nothing about Croatian players so had never heard of him. Bale he nearly destroyed and didn't want him, it was an injury crisis and luck that made Bale, not Redknapp. Harry is clueless about management, he has a fantastic knowledge about players, but not about management. As for Spurs being in a state under Ramos, it was not as bad as being made out.}

Harry Redknapp tried to sell Bale if I remember rightly

Question for Ed001 if he's about. Soz if you ever answered this before, but who do you believe will become the better all round player in the future between Sterling and Ibe? Cheers

Redflynn05

{Ed001's Note - I have always though Ibe was a better player, I never understood why it was Sterling that was given the first dibs on a place. Ibe is everything Sterling is but turned up a notch + raw power. I have said it since before either got a chance with us. There is no doubt in my mind that Ibe is now better and will become much better in the future.}

1.) 02 Jul 2015 18:59:48
Do you think the staff at the club see Ibe as better than Sterling?

2.) 02 Jul 2015 20:06:18
I agree Ed. Ibe genuinely has you on the edge of your seat sometimes.

His performance in the Derby was outstanding given his age, experience and the occasion.

He could easily knock expensive signings out of the starting XI.

3.) 02 Jul 2015 20:24:27
Cheers Ed, i agree, i think his end product will be better than Sterling's ams his off and on field temperament

4.) 02 Jul 2015 20:40:48
I don't disagree with anything that has been said. I said the same about jordan 2 years ago. However, let's not down play how good sterling is and can be. On his day and with confidence he is unplayable and will be a big loss to the team. Of course given the same opportunity jordan may have gone past sterling, but i feel the low key introduction may benefit him. Give him time to develop outside the intense spotlight of the media frenzy that always comes with slightly better than average players which invariably swells their already swollen egos. Daniel has taken jordan under his wing and he seems to still be humble

I firmly believe that firmino is currently better than sterling but not sure if he has peaked in terms of his development or whether there is more to come. But he will be an excellent player for us for years to come i hope.

5.) 02 Jul 2015 21:43:14
Always been a fan of ibe every since he came to us as a kid.

Ibe has everything where as sterling just relies on his pace.

Also ed I'd imagine sterling got first dibs down to the fact he's slightly older.

But IMO its worked out well because the media have bigged sterling up to be this 50mil man.

Bit in the media stating that Lacazette is available for around 21m and looking to move from Lyon. Not sure how true that is, and although that's the striker I'd like to see Liverpool sign, i'm guessing that's still a non-starter Ed's? Thanks in advance.

Redflynn05

{Ed002's Note - Right.}

Figured as much. Wishful thinking. Looks like Benteke deal will happen now anyway

Although i like some of the players we're signing and being linked with, seeing how in every year Rodgers has been at the club we've signed at least 7 players per summer, it does worry me that someone at the club isn't doing there job properly. Wether it is poor scouting, coaching or spending to much on players, it's not good for building a squad and finding genuine continuity. At least we're doing our buisness early and relatively hassle free this summer. (Besides kovacic).

First time poster. Message for Ed001 if possible. With the speculation on Sky over interest in Firmino and Bacca from Lfc, what are your opinions of them both as players and as possible acquisitions? Thanks in advance.

Redflynn05

{Ed001's Note - I like Firmino, though I am not sure he is entirely what we need, on his day he is a game changer, but lacks consistency. Bacca has got better and better and is very good at pressing opponents and applying pressure. It would certainly make more sense buying him, at 28/29, than buying another youngster who just blocks the passage of Sinclair.}

1.) 23 Jun 2015 22:17:45
We would be majorly improved if we signed both!

2.) 24 Jun 2015 00:50:18
True that, Ed. If we get Bacca with Studge next to him and Couts, Lallana/Firmino behind him, that would b awesome.
