I don't get way sterling is starting to get so much stick. He's been asked to do a job for the team,
playing out of position cause BR can't sort his strikers out and already scored more goals than mario, Lambert and Borini put together without him we would be.screwed

1.) I'm guessing the stick is aimed more at BR for putting him there. Messi is one of the best ever, but play him at centre back and he'd look out of place. BR is clueless, and now he's got a few results, that smugness is back. How annoying.

2.) Agree, my comment was purely about his best position rather than his quality. He's trying his best and done well in recent weeks considering being played out of position (quite possibly bailed the team out of a far worse situation that we're in) but BR and the committee need rethink.

Quite why we are rumoured to be trying to keep GJ instead of using the opportunity to move on any non-core players we can to fix a major problem is beyond me. I know they're not the same position, but funds are funds, and we don't need him given Manquillo, Can available and Flanno and Wisdom to return.

Talking of senior leadership, what are Sakho, Llalana, Hendo who have all captained senior sides before, and we also have Lucas and Skrtel as long time ambassadors of the club? We should let some of these show they can step up to guide the younger talent.
