Rumours of Can and Moreno replacing Lallana and Wijnaldum, with Milner moving into midfield.

ssn now suggesting LFC are interested in signing Nacer Chadli from Spurs?
{Ed002's Note - As are Swansea (on loan) and Olympiakos.}

Do any of the Edds have any idea when we may hear anything from the FA regarding the Firmino/ Holgate incident or is it just a matter of being patient?
{Ed002's Note - Perhaps next week.}

Been reading about our supposed interest in Mat Ryan, so had a look on YouTube to see what the fuss was about. I know it's not the best way, but probably all I've got available at the moment. Obviously only shows his best bits, but does anyone else think that he has a lot of Pepe Reina about him?
1.) 18 Jan 2015 10:38:43
Looks a descent player but he would have to stand on a box to play in the Premier league , unfortunately , he is not as tall as some of our midfield players .
If we do sign him let's hope he doesn't go to pieces at 28 like Reina did .
2.) 1.84m in height, just over 6ft
3.) 18 Jan 2015 12:52:04
Lloris is about the same height isn't he?
4.) Why all this obsession about height? Granted some may feel worried (including me) that a potential GK is only 6 feet tall, but Ryan has a very good leap, very quick of his line and a has a stocky powerful build. He will be a fine GK for us if we get him, and his distribution is just awesome. Does not think at all before pinging the ball forwards and his kicks still find their intended target.
5.) Height is not the most important thing. Like a not-so-tall player who is a good header of the ball, height is not the issue. Timing and anticipation is. Take Carnavaro and Ivan Zamorano for example. Zamorano was deadly in the air NOT because he was tall BUT because he had a DEADLY sense of timing which is why he was called him the Hellicopter. Carnavaro was the same. He had the uncanny ability to beat much taller strikers to the ball. All in all, Height is NOT everything in football. Timing, anticipation, and a desire to get to the ball are more important, IMO.
6.) 19 Jan 2015 08:19:48
Reina was a shorty (for a keeper). Speed and positioning are more important. let's face it - Casillas is hardly a giant at 6ft either!
7.) Can't comment. never seen him and refuse to you tube players.
I just hope he fits what we need which is basically Reina without the beef with Rodgers.

I have to say, as one of the older posters, almost 40 years a season ticket holder, the first 20-25 minutes today was the best I have seen Liverpool play since we beat Spurs 7-0! Fantastic stuff Reds!

Not Liverpool related, but fair play to Jose so far, no parking the bus, Chelsea much the better team, deserve their 1-0 ht lead, could easily have been more.

Andre Gomes has apparently been sold.

The same Carl Medjani we released years ago as not good enough??

Thanks Ed002, just a thought.

Now that his loan is over, would Harry Wilson be eligible to play tomorrow?
{Ed002's Note - No.}

You missed out Ian Callaghan.

Should we be worried Ed002?

I have just had a quick look and it appears that my main stand season ticket which I have held since 1986 will go up from £819 to a minimum of around £959! I look forward to hearing how the club justify this, given that apparently 65% of tickets have either been frozen or dropped!
