I am worried about us here. I honestly can not see us signing anyone, they way things are going when we need a CB an CM, even if cout goes, FSG see us as a selling club, we will be like everton in 10yrs time if it this carrys on. Good point about that, only locals will be at the game.

16 days to do some shopping, I am assuming that we are flogging Coutinho, so its a matter of hoping and trusting that the management bring in the right players. I would like us to sign VVD, but at this stage would settle for Manolas or Koulibaly as they're both what you would describe as top class and both really good in the air, though Manolas is better all round.

You think it would be good only locals being at game? While I agree, that nothing winds me up more than tourists taking photos whilst the game is on, people like me, who are from out of town, help to make the atmosphere as good as it is and have done since I started going in the 70s.

Didn't the owners just decline a £90+ million offer for Coutinho yet you're saying they are only interested in selling? Haven't they offered obscene amounts of money for Keita and VVD? (Not sure if an offer went in for VVD but the intention was there. Maybe the Eds could clarify on that) They have also bought Salah and Robertson without selling anyone else yet. I really can't see how anyone could come to that conclusion given all the facts that are staring you in the face.

A lot of clubs are just waiting for the dust to settle from the Neymar deal, Pochettino said as much.
Will still be plenty of spending between now and the end of the window, from a lot of clubs, and ours will be no different.
FSG are making us a selling club? I can't see how. We have spent a lot of money, backed by FSG, in the time they have been in charge. We ha e financed the development of Anfield. We sold Torres to Chelsea and to this day he has shown we got the best end of that deal. Sterling was being a nuisance and had a rift with Rodgers, so was sold on. Suarez was allowed to go to the biggest club in the world. That does not make us a selling club, but every player has a price and every club has to look at what is best for the player at that point.
Liverpool were a step up from Ajax with Suarez, then he stepped up to Barcelona.
Liverpool were a step up for Coutinho, now he wants to step up to Barcelona.
Torres and Sterling were both sold under good terms for our club, to teams who had a better chance of winning trophies at that point.
Don't be so down in the dumps, we are a great proposition for many players, and other teams are currently a better proposition, not many, but some. Feel sorry for people supporting lower league or 'smaller' clubs who always get cherry picked.
