hi all
one of the biggest differences for me is that lallana has seemed to dip in form, at the start of the season he looked unplayable but he seems to have lost that confidence to take players apart. i know its not a 1 man team but when someone keeps giving the ball away it causes so many problems, then there is the problem with the keeper and defence but that is a whole lot more frustrating.

Llalana isn't someone to take on players 1-1, he's much more about movement, clever passes and one touch football. I think his problem is the same as the teams, not enough movement from the players, and we seem to have abandoned the one touch football that made it impossible for opposition to organise their defence.

The whole team are out of form at the minute.

I have said that our form started to slide when lallana went out injured though.

Have you ever seen coutinho this consistently bad too? Firmino hasn't done anything in over 2 months apart from a quick 15 mins against Swansea.

I don't get it I really don't. Klopp is a beast and I think heals being let down abit by crappy players. He doesn't help his own cause because it's got to the stage where you can't drop anyone because we need them but a few names should have been dropped weeks ago.

Drop him to the bench and play Coutinho through the middle and Wilson on the left. Mane and Wilson will give us pace which will help the full backs to overlap and stretch them. We are playing too narrow, there is no room for quick movement and releasing of the ball.

Great point, Harry. Yes, players like Origi, Migs, Can and especially Studge, have let him down and they should be ashamed of themselves. I was one of those thinking that Origi and Studge would take their chances in Mane's absence BUT alas, they screwed up big time and Klopp cannot be blamed for that.

However maybe it's time for heads to start rolling. Start benching some of them to send a signal that only those ready for a fight for CL, will play cos that fight that was present for the first half of the season, is no longer there vs the lesser teams.

Klopp may also have to change some of his tactics vs Spurs, press them in stages and in zones but keep it tight at the back, like we did vs City where they had no spaces to run into and counter us. An early goal would definitely help too. Thoughts?

Noah

Spurs will give us space as they would want all three points to maintain the title challenge. Mane will run behind Rose no doubt on that. We need a winger on the left to take out Walker.

I would play Wilson, it's high time we play some. We cannot buy anyone from now until July so let's use what we have got and tweak our system a bit. Instead of passing and messing around the middle. Move the ball quick to wide areas and get players behind opppaitions full backs. This will peg Dembele and Wanyama in their own half. I would also play Gomez for Lovren.

Klopp is becoming like a Wenger, Too loyal with his players in turn he should behave like Bob. Ruthless. When X doesn't work drop him for Y simple as that.

Results matters, Nothing more Nothing less.

Just looked at training photos on LFC website great to see all players and staff enjoying training, this shows great team spirit and is a great sign for the season ahead roll on Derby game.

Just cause they smiled for the cameras? True team spirit is found when you are a goal or two down and you come back to level or even win.
I remember CR7 saying once he doesn't have to be friends with his team mates to play with them and i agree. But the difference between MSN and BBC maybe that friendship.

Is that not the whole "galactico" problem though. A bunch of very talented individuals trying to make sure they look better than their team mates, often to the detriment to the team.

I know its not strictly linked to the original question but I am not sure in recent times I have seen a trio of talented footballers work better together than MSN. it is not just the goals they score but the assists they give each other. How many of those goals are in and around the six yard box thatthey lay on a plate to each other. Its exceptional.
