Do you know if lfc have had marquinhos scouted. He'll of a defender for an 18yr old. I know city had an approach rejected. Personally I would swap him for Coates with a little fee on top. Hi Ed02 from someone looking in what do you make of Rogers recent comments about a conspiracy against him and rest of the garbage he has come out with, I mean anyone has right to criticise his tactics and results as he is the manager. To me his comments smack nothing but arrogance and seems to be Obsolving any blame upon himself. I think his comments are damaging for lfc, I hope Mike Gordon has a plan in place to do the right thing and relieve him of his duties when or if it is good for lfc

I agree Ed2 All last week you couldn't pick up a paper without the headlines screaming out that Rogers was about to be sacked and Klopp or Ancelotti was about to replace him. Didn't read one headline suggesting Mourinho was under any pressure for the poor start Chelsea made Not saying Rogers is in the same league as Mourinho, but it must have really pi**ed him off to read that day after day. I don't think his comments were directed at the fans

As you say lfc might look at another striker if they manage to offload some of the current strikers, personally i would like lfc to rekindle their interest in Baez who I think will be good on the press, I know you have mentioned mitrovic which is a top shout, big and strong in the air and another option. Who would you sign ed02 and ed01 if you were in the hot seat. Thanks for your opinions and info
{Ed002's Note - You have nailed the player Liverpool should have looked to in my view Sajid - Mitrovic. I fear that Baez could end up being lost if he did make the move. But the club should have listened to Caniggia about a bunch of South Americans. The man really "knew" - but was kicked in the gonads by Liverpool.}

Thanks for the reply ed02 I appreciate your views to me it looks the fallows and co have targeted a couple of players they've known at their time at city but I think the club need a figure head implementing policy and structure to the playing and buying.I'm guessing caniggia is a lfc South American scout, is this the same caniggia that got taken out by the Cameroon players in1990 WC?. Ed02 I really hope we get a good coaching setup lijnders looks a good shout and has good methods and is well respected, but I hope zenden makes his mind up and does join lfc as he could really add something and even keep rogers in check.

Just looked canigga up ed, is he the Argentina striker?
If so was he recommending player directly to us or is he like balague sort of media guy?
Secondly just about the one I think it is, I saw then that he never settled for any clubs but played a lot for the national team and scored quite a few goals. Was he a good player and how come his pro career never really took off?

Hi ed02, could we please have your thoughts on the current changes made by FSG. Do you think it's going to end in tears or is their more to come. Your opinions are appreciated as always
{Ed002's Note - All aspects of the club have been assessed over the past year and many changes have been made. Whilst I would, personally, have removed Brendan Rodgers from his role, for reasons that are not clear to me he is still at the club. Whether this is on a probationary basis or not I don't know. What they club will do about coaches is yet to be seen but it is clear from what I know of the person forcing these changes, and the advice he has from one particular third party, that he will already have a good idea of the direction he wants this to go.
On balance, the changes made elsewhere within the club make sense but their fruition may not be visible through the on pitch performances.}

Hi ed01, I really hope we try and get jaime Baez, I'm not sure if he would get a work permit but will certainly fill the void left from last season. Should work well with studge and has pace. This lad will be world class. I think a lot of the names banded about are out of our reach realistacally and financially with missing out CL

It's been a frustrating season for all involved with LFC, I go along with ED02 in that sticking with Rogers will only keep us in mediocrity. His lack of experience showed this season along with all the other baggage he has. I do hope this review the owners are doing is accomplished and we have a new management setup with a clear model to follow ie Chelsea, arsenal. I hope someone of the likes of Mr Hogan who has seen lfc this season put some weight towards the changes lfc need to ring. Ed02 looks like some changes have already been made but do you see more significant changes made in the summer ie committee, new medical team, senior management.
{Ed002's Note - I don't know. If Rodgers stays and next season starts as the last two, moving him on mid season very much limits the choice in terms of who will be available. I don't think another years in transition will suit anyone.}

Which is why we have to cut bait right now because IMO, BR has lost all credibility (except in the eyes of the media who he keeps giving comedy material on a daily basis) and he will NEVER learn hence, keeping him is only prolonging the inevitable and firing him midseason will only put us in a worse bind. I say , do it now and take your chances on someone you really want to work under the structure you have created INSTEAD of wallowing in medioccrity. Besides, I thought the owners did not fire him in Nov/Dec to avoid that very scenario? Is that right, Ed?

Studge recently signed a new contract putting him around 7m a year, not many clubs can afford that, at the moment not clubs would want him at the price we would expect. If sold him at a reduced fee we would still need to offset some of his wages. So I think we stuck with Sturridge for real foreseeable future.

I think it might well be Frank De Boer, Ancelotti and Klopp are not available for the near future which leaves De Boer who is already making noises about LFC being a top club.
