Rogers given a chance, Milner in (both good starts)! Now 2 more signings and tha should be it so as to enable the gel to settle allow those that never got into their game last season to prove a whole host wrong - none became bad players overnight just need to gel as team. One forward (I'd like Dzeko in a Sterling deal) and a CB will be just right. Good start though!

Another CB!!!?? You're right on the players not becoming bad over night, they became 'bad' due to gross mismanagement from Rodgers, in no way would it surprise me to see it happen again too.

2.) 05 Jun 2015 08:18:55
If you had said GK instead of CB (we have 12) i'd have clicked agree

3.) 05 Jun 2015 09:18:56
Let me correct what I said. A CB with leadership skills - a talker a leader in a position appropriate for such. Now you could say that could be avoided by putting a GK in there with that very skill but that would mean the GK you suggest being the number one not a Brad Jones replacement. Simon did well towards the end and perhaps deserves a chance but if you are suggesting he becomes number 2 then ok as long as we have a leader in that back 5 (in a central position of either CB or GK) then I can live with that. But not a GK that can't offer leadership - no! On the Brendon thing (previous comment) I am neither a lover nor a loather right now. Last season was not entirely his fault just like the season before was not entirely down to him nor the multiple seasons since we last won league was down to any of the prior incumbents! I'd put a lack of continuity, of players and management, down to a lot of teams inability to develop strength and more importantly consistency. So I say give longevity a chance - not Spurs-like knee-jerking!

4.) 05 Jun 2015 09:51:46
To be hones SB, I didn't see any positives from last season, it wasn't down to being unlucky the team from defense to offense didn't look anywhere near cohesive, tactically outdone time and time again and players poorly utilised, performances were entirely woeful at times and bang average at best. I do worry about the coming season, I actually worry Rodgers does well enough that the owners leave him where he is but well off being competitive and actually challenging for a top four place. I've completely lost faith personally.

5.) 05 Jun 2015 10:52:57
We share a passion for this great club Licky though I how we also share expectations (mine is far from just top four but being the best again justified by the only trophy that demonstrates a season of consistency - something NO MANAGER has been able to get us to for 20+ years)! Don't get me wrong I am not criticising a number of managers in that statement BUT I am a collection of things and one major thong is a lack of patience through no continuity. So that has been the consistency in our approach - ie a lack of consistency - we are reacting like a bottom half club not a top club. You may have lost faith in one person but personally I believe it goes a lot deeper than that and I wod be willing to wager anyone that dispensing with Rogers and bringing in a Klopp or a Ancelotti or even a Mourinho tbh would not "alone" change fortunes around certainly not at the pace some seem to expect. So I say don't change too much just a bit more strength and depth in certain playing portions and give a bit of continuity a go!

I have! I am not insane and feel that a little disrespectful of you to suggest so for having an opinion that is not same as yours or this Citeh's bloke you refer too. I would have thought it fair and appropriate for a fan forum editor to allow opinions to be aired as long as they detract from being abusive, rude, etc. Impartial editation (or at the very least one that seeks not to disrespect viewers or views) serves up a better meal imo!

SouthportBob

{Ed001's Note - and you telling me what to do is not disrespectful? I get pig sick of people who want to tell us editors what we should or shouldn't do. When you pay something to visit the site, then you can start telling me what to do, but this is free, so either like it or lump it, but don't start telling me what I should or shouldn't do or say on my own website! You are quite welcome to go and make your own and run it as you see fit, no one makes you come here to a free site that you give nothing towards the hosting or the hours of work us editors put in.}

That's your opinion! I said imo so should you shouldn't you?!

SouthportBob

{Ed001's Note - why? It is Citeh's opinion too, in fact I don't think I have ever heard anyone in the game or outside of it with the insanity to suggest Dzeko is the second best striker in the Prem other than you.}

Man City imo have the best 2 strikers in the prem! The second best would be an incredible deal again imo. Bring on Dzeko I say!

SouthportBob

{Ed001's Note - second best would be Jovetic, so what has Dzeko got to do with it? Either way, he is not even a tenth of the player Diego Costa is, so I fail to see why you would suggest he is in the top strikers in the Prem? There is a reason Citeh want rid, and it is not because he is a good player, it is because he simply is not good enough for them.}

1) really not that good;

2) incider knowledge into the club and in particular BR's mind Zed, or just making assumptions that add to the fuel of hypocrisy which has surrounded fan views of BR (previous and now)?

Suarez has gone! He had / has talent but knew nothing about how to conduct himself in a professional, mature manner. I want this club to be as great again as it was and deserves but I also want it to be respected, as it was, for being a great team bigger in whole than the sum of its parts. Forget Suarez - I had before he even left - when he led people to disrespect our great club due to his hideous behaviour. Danny Ings, welcome to LFC, give it your all, respect this great club and learn more along the way and hopefully you will gain and grow with the respect of generally an excellent group of fans!

Absolutely! Top post! Get behind them all. Welcome Milner, welcome Ings - do this great club proud and help BR also prove all his doubters and hypocritical fans wrong. Beat of luck to all at the great LFC for the 2015/16 season YNWA!

What do you mean "since the Benitez reign". Oh come on! Whilst we all loved the happenings of 2005 we would all be rather foolish in believing that we never had a very decent stroke of very good fortune (not just in the final)! No - we have underachieved for far longer than that and you have to go back to our last league win - which really is the trophy any real fan could look at and assume a consistency to suggest we are the best of a crop! The league it the trophy which really counts for me - don't get me wrong I'd like a trophy of any description but the league tells a real story. No manager has delivered that for well over 20 years of course, and the closest was last season. But none of that is solely a managerial fault - from Benitez, to KK to BR. It's unfortunately a sign of the times that businesses come first unless you are a "don't care what I spend" owner who gets a kick out of playing a real life game of monopoly. Our owners are not!
