I have just seen the previous post on hendo, you advised that gerrard would like to tak him to saudi.

personally i would be very surprised if he left as

a. i did not think he would be interested in a move like that

b. i did not think the club would want to sell

do you think its likely he will actually go? gerrard wanting him to join is not the same as him wanting to leave etc.

let see what happens, i agree complaining about 'saudi money' taking over and then taking some ourselves would be at best questionable.

hopefully, he stays as for my money he has been one of our best captains ever, we will need his experience this season

I would be surprised if Henderson left for Saudi Arabia this summer. I imagine he has his sights set on featuring in what would probably be his final England tournament, Euro 2024. Would be hard to claim a position in the squad whilst booting a bag of wind around the desert.

I don’t agree with players doing it but at the same time I don’t blame them going to get massive amounts of money! And in my eyes the Arabs are only doing what premier league did 30 years ago!
I’d sell only one of hendo or Thiago for as much as we can! We need money and lots of it!

I don’t know why everyone is so hung up about Saudi money and all that stuff. If a players leaves our club and goes to Saudi, who cares. As long as the club get good money and it will be invested into the club. I know there is an underlying agenda against these countries and people will unfortunately believe everything they read and follow the rest of the flock like sheep. But at the end of the day, Saudi countries are in trillions of surplus while Britain is in a complete mess and in trillions of debt. If they wanted to buy the whole premier league they could, so taking some of our older players and giving us an inflated price for their services is only a good thing. If they come looking our best players, then we’ll do a coutinho and get a massive fee for them. It’s all good.

Very much doubt he’d do that. I think he’d want one more season with us to try and out right last seasons disappointment and put himself in the frame for the England squad next summer. That said if a decent offer came in I’d let him go. Love Hendo to bits for what’s he’s done and his overcoming adversity to become on of our most successful captains, but let’s face it he’s no spring chicken.

Resflyer - they went to represent their country in a world cup and didn't get any extra money for it. They didn't make the decision. Henderson was a teenager when the decision to have a world cup in Qatar was made. Completely null point just to have a pop at footballers.

1) I would have loved to see players boycott the World Cup, but playing in the ultimate sporting event that was placed in Qatar outside of your control is far different than signing for a Saudi club.

2) LOL at the guy who dropped a defense of the Saudi royal family. My dude, if you wanted to offer a defense you might point out that bonesawing someone in an embassy is far more honest than the way a whole lot of countries behave. It's awful, sure, but so we are. But that's not the defense you offered-- instead you trashed the dudes family and then told others to leave politics out of it. Whatever Khasoggi's family was up to, there is no defense for murdering someone, let alone an actual journalist. Maybe you know about the actors involved, but I would say that if others should hold their tongue out of ignorance of politics, you should hold yours from lack of morality and perspective.

I just think it’s funny how we can all sit and judge the Saudi and Arab countries when britains leaders are probably just as bad. Like look at the state of the place. It’s a mess.

Would like to see hendo stay, but if we get a good offer that would boost the squad, then sell. That’s the only point I’m trying to make.
