Ed002 are you aware of any contact being made with Leverkusen or Alonso representatives by Liverpool/ FSG?

{Ed002's Note - I understand that Liverpool are one of the clubs that has spoken to his representatives but I don’t think it has gone any further than that right now. They are taking advice and he is certainly a serious consideration.}

Spot on Ed002 thanks.
Who would you say out of the other options would be a good option?
Amorim for me maybe?

{Ed002's Note - perhaps Nagelsmann.}

Alonso for me. Nagelsman hasn't impressed. I reckon it'll be alonso.

Nagelsmann hasn’t impressed either, there was that business with the journalist (which has echoes of his Rodgers conducted himself), the stories that his tactics confused the Bayern players so they just ignored him and he’s not exactly setting the world alight as Germany manager. But plus he won’t be available until after the Euros so makes no sense employing someone who can’t make adequate plans for the season going forward. I’d like to think it would be Alonso but we’ve got an uphill battle with Bayern and potentially Madrid also sniffing around.

Do Liv need to pay some sort of compensation to be able get him Ed? Do both clubs need to agree a fee before we can speak directly to him? Assuming he wants and agree to replace Klopp of course.

{Ed002's Note - Compensation would need to be paid. Liverpool can speak directly to him only when BL give permission.}

Press getting over excited about this today. Claiming Alonso is agreed and he is bringing Wirtz, Hincappe and Frimpong with him.

Awesome if true but I won't hold my breath.

{Ed002's Note - Obviously it is untrue.}

Alonso intrigues me so much. What a brilliant football mind who seems to also have the natural people/ leadership skills/ instincts you can't teach. The cynics who are pessimistic about "fit" seem to incorrectly assume that he'd come into LFC and try to change their identity and style too quickly. The best managers assess what they have, what is available in the market, and strategize from that. We did that with Klopp and we'll do that with a new manager, and I'm hopeful it's Alonso.

Has to be Alonso, and I would imagine that he would recommend his coaching team and maybe a couple of players, usually a new manager would want to know how much he would have to spend in the summer transfer window.

Anyone watch the big game in Germany last night, very good game and Alonso team, really well coached and looked like scoring all thru the game. Harry Kane didn't get a look in. Very impressed how Alonso set his team up. This is the Man to take over from Klopp.
