Not sure if someone suggested already but what about Milner as CB? He's played almost every other position! Players sometimes move back as they get older and he's fit with plenty of experience. If anyone can adapt it's him. He'd get more playing time in a tougher squad to break into.

To be honest if someone said let’s play Milner at left back a few seasons ago I would have laughed.

I can see Hendo and Fab being the new CB pairing personally! We have tons of midfielders that could fill in for Hendo who definitely won’t let us down.
