Morning gents, I don't understand what some people are saying concerning yesterday match, to me mancity controlled the game yesterday, they knew that if they give us possession, we will not do anything with it, and that was how the game went, those chances we got were half chances and the only real chance we got was from the mistake of Diaz, which resulted in the penalty, I said at half time that mancity were going to up the tempo in the second half, and it was so, to me if we're playing till now, we wouldn't have scored from open play, it is as simple as that.

Champs, City did not do anything to us either in the first half and bar the pen (which they missed), they created nothing and had no shots on target in the first half either so it depends on what you mean by "City was controlling the game". On the other hand, the best chance of the first half in open play was Mane's point blank header and on another day, he scores that and it is a diff game. City have to come out and it is game on. Would that have been part of City's plan to "control the game"?

And it terms of chances, City created ONE chance in open play and that was their goal before the Allisson moments happened. We had 3 good chances to score on the other hand and could not take them. Look, I agree that City are a better team this season clearly but on the game it self IMO, it was an even game at 1-1 and even tho they upped the tempo, we grabbed the momentum after the equalizer. At 1-1, it is anybody's game at that specific time BUT when Big Al made his mistakes, the game was gone. Just my take.

It looked like hendo and fab struggled to cope when Man City changed to 4-4-2 in the second half. There always seemed to be a spare man.

You honestly believe the Mane header was a half chance? He was 6 yards out and unchallenged it was a sitter. It amazes me how people bend the truth to suit their own agenda.

Mane should have scored its as simple as that, great cross unmarked, free header= should be a goal.
He missed a sitter that could have changed the narrative of the match.

OliRed as it is our opinions are different relating to the game, but I stand by my word that mancity controlled the game, if you look at the stats from the game, big chances created by both sides where 1-5 in favour of mancity from which we scored from and mancity missed two big chances, so there you have it, no argument.

Spot on, BP. Check the header from behind the camera view behind Mane and you will see how much of a point blank header it was. We score there, anything can happen.
