No more away goals. Thoughts in this eds/ posters? I'm so used to having away goals it will take some getting used to.

I always liked the idea Red because it makes the away team attack. But that’s me being neutral.
With my Liverpool tinted glasses on it’s Great News, because everyone else’s stadium/ Atmosphere is inferior to ours and it’ll work in our favour.

good news outdated and needed removing or removed for extra time in second leg if all square at full time.

Not sure myself. I suppose that everyone plays by the same rules so it will be fair. I always liked the idea of nicking an away goal in the first leg. Personally I think the away team will play more negative now in the first leg and we might see less goals. Could be wrong though.

{Ed0666's Note - so the onus is on the home team to attack and make home advantage count

It just means whoever scores the most goals overall wins. Which is good and provides incentive for teams to attack.

Edo66, agreed on that. Besides, nothing worse then going out on away goals.

{Ed0666's Note - going out with mismatched socks is pretty grim also

Mismatch shoes are even worse. Especially when one was my wifes.

Same for me, kaled007. Should be removed for extra time. We all start afresh with no team having any advantage should they score a goal. Seems fair to me.

mixed feelings for me. Away goals adds drama and leaves you on edge. Like against Barcelona we did everything at 4-0, but still on a knife-edge to hold out as 1 Barcelona goal would have killed it for us in all probability.

I feel like a good step forward would have been to remove away goal relevance in extra time and then see how it plays out. So I'm a bit surprised they've jumped to this.

Will reserve judgement until the knockout stages!
