Just read this below. Not sure how it will go down in that dressing room with all their prima donnas but his little bald head has gone up in my estimation.


Erik ten Hag put the Manchester United players through a brutal training session in more than 30C heat today.

Ten Hag made each player run 13.8km.

The reason? Collectively, Brentford’s players ran 13.8km more than United.

What he needs to do is so simple. Kept Henderson (better goalie) . Buy three decent defenders to go with Varane. Go super defensive. Make team hard to beat. Screw the we play this way rubbish. Then start adding better flair players who are hungry on lower wages.

Similar to what Arteta and Arsenal are doing. Go from there.

1jj in fairness mate people could have given Klopp that exact same advice but he chose to stick to his heavy metal football philosophy and luckily enough had a fan base that were patient and it took him a few years. I’m not sure Utd’s fan base and owners will offer the same though.

Posters on here probably don't know, but when Shanks first took over, the players when training through the week before a saturday/ midweek match use to have to report to Anfield first and were then taken to melwood by coach to train before melwood was modernised (showers installed, car parking etc) .

If they got beat during the week or the saturday game, Shanks would make them run back to anfield from melwood training ground every day before the next game, rather than get the nice coach back after training as a punishment for getting beat, they reckon that was the main reason behind so many late equalisers or winners for the reds in Shanks days.

Also does anyone remember when Souness was manager, and he took the players to Formby Sand Dunes for pre-season training and it resulted in Achilles Operations for many of the first team that season, he really butchered them.
