Ed25 if you're about, do u see your lot going down?

Reading the Everton pages there and most seem to agree Dyche is doing a good job but a few saying Dyche out fs

I think he is exactly the signing you guys needed, just a shame he wasn't put in place say just before the World Cup break. He could have better assessed the side, added to it etc

Big job to keep yous up but he does have you competing much better, just cannot eradicate the individual errors that players make, the like of Doucoure's error for example - lot of hard work ahead but he is definitely the one to make the players do it.

{Ed025's Note - mot of us feel the same bill, we think dyche is the best bet to keep us up but as you say it should have happened before the WC to give him a chance to get to know the club and the players, its touch and go whether we survive or go down i feel but the effort is there even if some of the guys have brain farts that is costing us, the board is the main problem mate and not getting an attacker in january was criminal and may cost us big time, but i live in hope..

Personally, I hope Everton stay up. I wouldn't want them to be relegated, I think it wouldn't be as easy as some may think to get back up to the premier league. Everton are one of the big name clubs who deserve better leadership.

{Ed025's Note - your right stone, the club is in a terrible state and has been for some time, it needs an overall from top to bottom...starting at the top mate..

I think Everton have to be careful. That squad doesn’t scream ready for a championship battle.

{Ed025's Note - the personnel dont Wassa but fortunately for us the manager does, we are lumbered with players on huge wages who we cant get rid of and that does not bode well mate, if we do go down i fear it may be a while before we have the players in place to get us back up..

Everton should have appointed Dyche in 2021 when they opted for Benitez instead. They thought they were too good for him. Had they got him in back then, they may not have found themselves in the unsalvageable mess that they're in today.

{Ed025's Note - i believe you are right AW..

I hope Everton stay up, putting all the bitterness aside, it surely has to be to the benefit of everyone in Liverpool City to have two teams in the premiership from an economic point of view if nothing else.

Awk I hope they stay up, I've said before Ed25 I'm old enough to remember the days the Derby wasn't segregated, neighbours and friends, red or blue sat together. Unfortunately there's too much bitterness from some these days on both sides for those days to return but I still remember them and whilst, don't get me wrong lol I hope we destroy your lot everytime, the Derby is too big a game to not have each year

I'd love Everton to find themselves again, sort the board out fs. You'll have a fantastic stadium soon and I'd love to see both do well (obviously us better lol) and really set the city set apart, as a real footballing city, home to 2 great clubs.

{Ed025's Note - i remember those days as well bill, i went to the 2 wembley finals on the train in the 80,s and not a hint of trouble...halcyon days indeed, it was great when we were the top 2 teams in the country but alas we have regressed and have our work cut out to stay in the prem mate..

BT Sport's documentary 'Two Tribes' about Liverpool and Everton in the 80s is an excellent watch.
They were very different times for the city- the government of the day managing the decline- but it had the two top teams in the country for a time. European trophies for the Reds and the Blues, as well.
Watch it if you can.

A season without the merseyside derby would feel wrong.
