I think football Tw@tter is irretrievable.

Story circulating that Klopp is unlikely to extend his stay at the club beyond the end of his current contract in 2026 and loads of Liverpool fans are crying about it. Terrible. FSG out. etc. etc.

If Klopp sees out his contract he'd become the longest serving Liverpool manager since Shankly (as it is, he's the longest since Paisley) .

That's not exactly terrible is it?

But that's not all.

Rumor has it that he's planning to explore new horizons as a master chef and starting his own chain "Klopp's Krazy Kuisine. " The star dish you got to try is called "Gigapressing"! Inspired by the high-energy style of football, this unique cuisine combines flavors with an explosive twist.  Whether it's the tackling tamarinds,  pressurized peppers, the high-press herbs, or the counter-attacking condiments, Gigapressing will guarantee to ignite your palate and keep you hungry for victory.

I'm excited!

Love it, TRK.

He is planning to sign another contract after this one ends and will then go, you can't under estimate the love he has for the club and city.

Klopp is amazing for this club. When he does eventually go he will be a huge loss.

SR, I do not blame people who post "stuff" on the Twatter. I feel sorry for those who believe all the bunk they read and go into absolute meltdown about it and lash out to people who whereas, literally have no idea who they are and would never hear nor do what they say. As they say in the UK, "Crikey".

To be fair the majority of people with footballer twitter profiles are schoolkids, we all said daft stuff when we were kids. Don't mean any harm.

Did Jurgen sit down and tell you that personally Lancaster?

He’ll be irreplaceable and with our current owners we’ll be desperate for forth but hovering around sixth for the foreseeable.

I was there with Lancaster and he left out some of the story.

So Klopp, Lancaster and me were having a few martinis, when Klopp said he's going to string FSG along at the end of his contract, wait until a successor is about to be announced and then say he'll stay for 12 more years if they throw in a Merc S Class and a weekly standing order for filet mignon.

They will reluctantly agree, the sticking point being filet mignon as John Henry is a fervent vegan, especially loving cows, but big Jurg knows he will get what he wants.

We finished our martinis, grabbed a couple of juicy burgers each and headed our separate ways - Jurg currently drives a Skoda Kodiaq and he is NOT happy about that.

Oh, and he will sign his new contract on a Tuesday.

Love it when posters get salty because one of us get info, nothing is concrete but it's his wish, keep it coming.

Love it when bullsheep merchants get all smug about spouting crap and then having it mocked. Keep it coming.

He claims to be a man of the people, Olired, but he secretly hankers after a pimped up S-class with limo tints and 27" wheels.

Make of that what you will.

Zed you seem happy that we get out spent by half the league and are falling away while the owners price us out of a sale, good for you, the ambition from you is class, not sure where being smug comes into it when people jumped on me first.

Lancaster, of course I would like us to have more money than anyone else, buy Bellingham, Mbappe, Haaland (even if they have other preferences, but we throw more money), of course I would, as would most other posters here.

But there are very few teams that have that luxury, and we can't dictate who our owners are.

Now, do we have bad owners? No, absolutely not. Waldorf and Statler were bad owners, Everton have pretty poor owners, no one likes Levy and Mike Ashley was an absolute joke.

Our owners, from reports and from the Eds, support the manager when required, but within (not insignificant) budgets. We have bought the most expensive GK, most expensive defender (at the time) . Yes, they were part funded by selling Coutinho, but our owners are trying to balance the books and stay within FFP. Also, who really knows who's decision some of the spending (or lack of spending) is? From what Ed002 has told us, not buying a midfielder last season (for example) was Klopp's call, not the owners. The Klopp who has won every trophy in the last few years. The Klopp who is the only manager to have won the league in the last 5 years other than Pep. So if you want to whinge and moan, then whinge and moan about him, but don't be surprised when a load of other posters disagree with/ mock you about it!

What grinds my gears (to borrow a phrase from Peter Griffin) is the constant mire of doom and negativity that some posters, including you, exhibit.

I'm sorry, but it comes across as throwing your toys out of the pram because we can't buy every shiny toy.

But surely Klopp should have won more with such a team as he has had, I hear you cry. Well we can't account for City. We don't have as much money as them, that's a fact. And depending on what ends up being proved, their owners have cheated the system in some way.

Now, would I wear the allegations of financial doping in order to win the trophies? And being owned by states that have dubious human rights records? Yes, being honest, I would. Cos I like to win. I started supporting Liverpool in the 80s (as a young child) and got quite used to winning.

But my adult years have been spent (in the main) not even competing.

We had a crap season last season, that can't be denied, probably due to not spending on a midfielder. Most people ITK (not the clickbait websites that so many people on here seem to swear by, despite the Ed's wise counsel) agree that it was Klopp's decision not to invest.

That's fine, the guy is a legend and I'm happy to take all there is to love about Klopp and the success that he has returned to our wonderful club, along with his flaws - stubbornness and loyalty to aging players being the main ones. Cos he's a human and the bad outweighs the good. And I'm pretty sure most people on here, sorry most ADULTS on here, will feel the same.

So, to summarise, I find myself taking a pretty balanced view of the whole club, rather than believing all the tripe written in clickbait websites and using that as a stick to beat our owners by.

Sorry for the essay, but as I said earlier, whinging and moaning, especially when based on half truths and outright lies reported in the media, really, really gets my goat!

{Ed025's Note - I enjoyed reading that zed. Well except for the bit about being happy with state ownership no matter what their human rights record is like…tut tut..

BTW, in my original post about, I meant to say "the good outweighs the bad" when referring to Klopp!

Thanks Ed025, appreciate it. I did have a chat with myself (no I didn't, yes I did) about the Middle Eastern or Chinese (or even in the past) Russian owners. I don't agree with their state policies, no one outside of Andrew Tate really does. But the record books will state that City won 4/ 5 PL titles and the treble last year, not that they were owned by gits.

I'd love to say that I am principled enough to prefer to stay mid table than put up with these sorts of owners, but I'm not. And I think that most fans, being honest, would feel the same way.

{Ed025's Note - you are far from mid table zed, you had a bad blip and were still fighting for CL until the death, i support one of the worst teams in the premiership (if not THE worst) mate but i would baulk if we were bought by middle eastern owners with dodgy human rights issues...even for 30 pieces of silver..
