Chelsea are tonight said to have agreed a £50 million fee for Romeo Lavia. Would this have any impact on their plans to sign Caicedo too?

All I know is Liverpool should not remove their Caicedo bid and wait until Chelsea pay up.

I know it puts us in a tough spot if we lose out on both but Chelsea's offer for Lavia is high in my mind. Hold ground and see what happens.


There are other DMs out there. Fofana, Florentino, Dacoure. Hang tough and see how this plays out.

If they buy both that is a stunning amount of money that Boehley has spent since arriving, a truly stupendous amount of money.

I believe that Todd Boehly has taken an active role in the Caicedo deal and wants it to be sealed at any cost. I think it has damaged his billionaire ego and he has returned from his exile to show Liverpool what for. I don't think there is any logic to it really. Sounds like a ridiculous thing for me to say but Todd Boehly is a ridiculous character.

Chelsea are not short of cash, they have had a fire sale this summer and flogged players all over the gaff. I suspect they have enough for both lavia and ciacedo. Lfc have to suck it up and move on I'm afraid.
