Hi Eds,

Just heard an interesting rumour that Liverpool are trying to make Dzecko part of the sterling deal.
30 mil plus Dzecko. Anything you have heard or just lazy reporters trying clutch at straws?

1eyedredwarrior

{Ed001's Note - they have offered Dzeko to a number of clubs, we would not need to try they are offering him.}

1.) 17 Jun 2015 14:16:30
Thanks Ed,
Do you believe Liverpool are interested though or is this just a case of putting 2 and 2 together?
I think it would be a brilliant deal for Liverpool guaranteed 15-20 goals depending on how regular he plays.

{Ed001's Note - he is awful, why would you want him? He can barely score that many for a far better side, why would he guarantee them for us? He is slow, poor touch, doesn't make the right runs, is not strong enough to bully defenders, is exceedingly average in the air despite his height, I don't get what he offers.

As far as I am aware we have shown no interest, though he has been offered around Europe. We certainly made no move when that happened, so I doubt we would suddenly jump at adding him into a Sterling deal.}

2.) 17 Jun 2015 14:27:04
Id take Dzeko as part of the deal.

Ed001 what are your opinions on Dzeko, would we consider him as part of the deal or not ?

{Ed001's Note - I think I answered that in my previous reply.}

3.) 17 Jun 2015 14:43:11
I would be extremely interested who you would describe as a great striker if an awful one can score 50 goals in 130 games (not great) for Manchester City as a bit part player behind one of the best strikers on the planet.
66 goals in 111 games for Wolfsburg who certainly weren't a great team.
and 42 goals in 72 games for a team ranked 32 in the world (Bosnia)
Not a bad signing compared to the strikers we currently have.

{Ed001's Note - hardly a bit part player, they play two up top, 130 games is not the amount a bit part player gets! Stats tell you nothing other than he is getting a lot of chances, as he doesn't make goals for himself. You can go by stats all you want, but that was how we ended up with the lump up top Andy Carroll. I will stick to actually watching them play thanks.}

4.) 17 Jun 2015 15:01:11
I watch a lot of football from all around the world and there are a list of young strikers the size of the lump up top who I would buy before dzeko. barbosa, talisca, neymar but Liverpool just doesn't attract these names hence why we end up with the sick notes and wastes of spaces.

5.) 17 Jun 2015 16:14:37
Ed001, who do you think the club should go for as a striker. I mean a realistic option this summer, who would improve our first team? I really don't have an idea at this point.

{Ed001's Note - right now I think going all out for Firmino is about all we can do. The reason I say him is because he can work with Sturridge or Ings or as a lone striker. He can also drop deeper and play wide or behind the striker. When Studge is fit, he will start, so you need someone who can work with him as well as without him.}

6.) 17 Jun 2015 17:22:44
The deal currently on offer is £35 million - £20 million payable over 2 years and the rest in clauses and add ons

Man City now claim they will not submit another higher bid. This is a deliberate tactic designed to unsettle Sterling further

7.) 17 Jun 2015 17:42:30
Ed is he a possibility

{Ed001's Note - he is likely to move to the Prem, but I don't know which club, I would hope Coutinho and Lucas could convince him to join us though.}

8.) 17 Jun 2015 17:50:10
Man City imo have the best 2 strikers in the prem! The second best would be an incredible deal again imo. Bring on Dzeko I say!

{Ed001's Note - second best would be Jovetic, so what has Dzeko got to do with it? Either way, he is not even a tenth of the player Diego Costa is, so I fail to see why you would suggest he is in the top strikers in the Prem? There is a reason Citeh want rid, and it is not because he is a good player, it is because he simply is not good enough for them.}

9.) 17 Jun 2015 17:58:38
That's your opinion! I said imo so should you shouldn't you?!

{Ed001's Note - why? It is Citeh's opinion too, in fact I don't think I have ever heard anyone in the game or outside of it with the insanity to suggest Dzeko is the second best striker in the Prem other than you.}

10.) 17 Jun 2015 18:22:15
I have! I am not insane and feel that a little disrespectful of you to suggest so for having an opinion that is not same as yours or this Citeh's bloke you refer too. I would have thought it fair and appropriate for a fan forum editor to allow opinions to be aired as long as they detract from being abusive, rude, etc. Impartial editation (or at the very least one that seeks not to disrespect viewers or views) serves up a better meal imo!

{Ed001's Note - and you telling me what to do is not disrespectful? I get pig sick of people who want to tell us editors what we should or shouldn't do. When you pay something to visit the site, then you can start telling me what to do, but this is free, so either like it or lump it, but don't start telling me what I should or shouldn't do or say on my own website! You are quite welcome to go and make your own and run it as you see fit, no one makes you come here to a free site that you give nothing towards the hosting or the hours of work us editors put in.}

11.) 17 Jun 2015 18:37:27
You got to have your opinion when the eds let the post through! Ed001 was just pointing out that it was crap.

dzeko is awful sorry to piss on your parade. Question, If he was so good and with city not really able to buy many players with ffp why would they sell him? And why would they have bought bony, jovetic and negredo when the 2nd best striker in the prem was at there disposal?

FYI fifa ratings aren't real just incase well. Lol 😉

12.) 17 Jun 2015 20:43:03
Dzeko deal almost done to Roma. relax guys liverpool will hold out for £50m with no player exchange.They are in the driving seat here.

13.) 17 Jun 2015 23:19:45
Dzeko isn't even near the top ten of best strikers in the perm. I would doubt he's even the best in his family lol

News this morning that liverpool are going back with an improved bid (15 million) for Clyne.
Seems to be getting a bit expensive now but definitely an improvement on the players we currently have.

1eyedredwarrior

1.) 15 Jun 2015 13:46:05
Clyne thrives going forward because Wanyama is there to cover for him when he does hence, he looks effective in that system. However as a one on one defender, he is not that good when exposed and if Wanyama isn`t there to plug that hole, he will be caught upfield and out of position. Wisdom is a much better defender and very good on the ball. With BR selling Lucas with no DM to replace him and preferring Allen to play DM, we will struggle mightily there. Wisdom should be given a chance because frankly, i prefer a defender who can defend first and do the rest after.

2.) 15 Jun 2015 16:09:43
Totally agree on the above point re Clyne, however the Wisdom point I'm not so sure about. Andre Wisdom did not start a game for West Brom after the arrival of Tony Pulis, who we all know loves a good defender. Surely if Wisdom was that good he would have got more games at the back of a pretty average team like West Brom.

3.) 16 Jun 2015 09:50:50
Pulis didn't want loan players at the club.

I have heard this too from good sources, it would be no surprise if Liverpool were interested after the way he has dismantled our defence the past two seasons.
