German newspaper Bild are reporting Liverpool have signed Emre Can for around 12million Euros. Heard great things of him having come through at Bayern and started pretty much most of the season for Leverkusen at the age of 20. Also looks okay on the ball so fingers crossed!

anything to the news or is it just German rumours?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any agreement.}

okay let's take a break from bashing at each other for a bit and focus on dortmund now. anyone else going to the game tomorrow? I for one can't wait for YNWA to be unanimously sung by both sets of fans (dortmund also inherited the song)

What other songs do people expect to ring around the kop tomorrow?
Lets show the players what to expect this season in our first game at anfield this summer with the premier league kicking off next week!

Can I ask what people have against Tom Ince? With his performances last season and being just over 20 years of age. Coming through the Liverpool academy has got to count for something? I also feel he looks like a decent athlete and is definitely going to improve? So where's all this hostility coming from? am I missing something? Did he insult brendans mom or fsg or say he would like to ride the liver bird and rubbish all over our city?

I have just looked up in the vast encyclopaedia that is Google about our transfer activity over the last 10 years. We only ever made a profit on transfers when we sold Alonso and another when we sold Fernando to Chelsea. Apart from that were making a loss each year and partly due to over paying and underselling (the likes of cisse, aquilani, diouf, robbie keane and more recently stewert downing and andy carrol). We didn't even make much off mascheranos sale or miereles who obviously were worth more than they arrived for.

I totally understand the owners thought process when they want to buy potential with sell on value. Our management has been absolutely appalling. And whether this is due to incompetence of our chairman, manager or whoever is in charge of negotiating these sales or simply rebellious players is beyond me. One things for certain, the owners are going about the right way of restoring things. We have over the past few seasons bought quality and shifted out dead wood and we finally have a first 11 capable of competing with anyone in the league, no more jay spearings, shelveys, david ngogs or raw talent like sterling and suso needed to fill up the numbers. The transformation is remarkable and steady which has helped (unlike spurs).

In brendans own words, the players are beginning to understand what he is trying to achieve and I think its about time some of the fans on here did too. He said it was a long process and the man is only in his second season. I certainly won't be upset if we don't sign anyone this January. Having said that, Salah and Jorginho/Fernando would be my pick of the bunch to help us seal the deal.

{Ed002's Note - It is not as simple as that - the club may have made a profit on transfers the season Torres left but still made a £50M loss for the year. You need to also consider wages which suck the lifeblood from the club and how future rulings will constrain that.}
