Ed25-I don't think any Liverpool fan would be happy with us selling for Â£100m. We are not in a position to replace him adequately. Comparing him to Neymar is one way to look at it but he probably went for less than his market value due to his release clause, I certainly don't think Barcelona would have accepted the bid if they didn't have their hand forced.

To be honest Coutinho is a player we got for little over Â£8m I think it was so Â£100m seems a huge profit and I would say about the right price Neymar is a one off and his price that he went for has no relation to any other sales. (I still ouldn't sell though) One other way of looking at it (Granted it was before PSG started waving there you know what's around) Suarez went for around Â£70m admittedly we were forced into that sale but still value wise is Coutinho that much better than Suarez? (If he is better at all)

Well to be honest in today's market value Suarez would be worth at least Â£130 million with lukaku going for Â£75 million and he plays for Liverpools 3rd team then Coutinho is worth at least Â£110 million.

Jcw, CL rules state an exception that "a player who has been fielded in the first, second, third qualifying round or the play-offs of the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League is entitled to play in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League for another club as from the group stage. " So Coutinho being left out doesn't affect his CL cup-tied status until mid-September.

What good is money if we can't even buy a player from clubs as Southampton or Leipzig, even when the players are desperate to leave their club? We can get 200m Â£, and still have a weaker team, because we have no chance to replace a player like Coutinho with equal quality. Its going to be like suarez all over again, selling a world class player, and buying players like Lambert and Balo. No thx.
