Question for ed001 would you keep Mignolet, or would you look for another keeper in the summer. in my opinion I think bernad Leno would be a great buy and quality replacement.
{Ed001's Note - I personally do not think there is any doubt that Mignolet has to be replaced by a better keeper.}

Yes ed I agree the only reason I ask is that Klopp has gave him his support, I don't know if that is because he needs to keep him on side till the summer or he generally rates him. Which I'm worried about don't get me wrong his performances as of late have improved, I just think he's not liverpool quality as he is as inconsistent as the British weather.
{Ed001's Note - I am remain to be convinced that Klopp really did give him his backing as such. He just said he has quality goalkeepers at the club, but he could have equally well been talking about Ward.}

I don't really follow Scottish football but i do believe Ward is doing well question is do you think he is ready to potentially replace Migonlet.
{Ed001's Note - I haven't seen him play since he went up there on loan, but Aberdeen certainly think he is ready to be a first choice keeper. The reports being sent back to the club are glowing.}

Thats good to know, we do need to change keepers just don't feel safe with migonlet in between the sticks.

I don't mean to put a dampener or things, but playing for Abardeen in Scotland and playing for Liverpool in England in 4 different competitions with all that pressure and up against the likes of Aguero, Sanchez, Hazard etc is a totally different ball game.

Stopping a good shot is stopping a good shot. Picking out a player from distance is still the same (considering the weather, often harder in Scotland) . If anything, a goalkeeper is the easiest position to judge in lower quality leagues.

Sorry for the late reply ed as I am moving house so I'm abit hectic at the moment. Thank you for your reply aswell yes he may well be talking about ward. He's still along way off being number one tho. However I think he sould give bogdan more time between the sticks IMO.

Ward is an exceptional keeper and so complete for his age, deserves a go as he definitely isn't worse than what we have. Sent shivers down my spine when Klopp 'backed' Mignolet so I hope its just a ruse to prevent his performances dropping, again. I'd be made up if we signed Leno or Butland don't get me wrong, I just think it'd be criminal to completely overlook Ward.

From doing the loan reports this season Ward is a player I have taken particular interest in as he has been exceling. Some of the saves he's pulled off are top drawer!
Like a poster said above doesn't matter what division your in a great save is a great save!

I'd sell both, buy an experienced reliable stopper, and have him and ward compete. Ward can learn off him and either will be suitable as a replacement or starter.

Agree Fencey, move on Migs (not rounded or confident enough to be our no.1) and Bogdan (should be playing 1st team somewhere, just not Liverpool), then bring in Patricia or Bernd and let Ward compete with them for a starting spot.

Well lads last night was a shocker, that for me last night just cemented how much we need a quality midfielder. I've seen people on here blaming benteke Lucas Ibe ect ect the fact is that the whole team was poor. The defence just ball watched and we had no spine and was over run in midfield and the forwards made no options for one another. I feel aswell Klopp ( I can't believe I'm saying this) got it wrong he should of started the same squad he did at st Mary's. All this talk of the title is far to pre mature aswell however I do believe we can make top four. What a crazy season.

Sometimes you have to give the opposition credit, Newcastle raised their game and our pressing game was nullified because the game was allowed to be played in no mans land. We actually missed Can's Power and forward thinking alongside Lucas. Allen played next to Lucas and did the same old thing, try to keep possession at all cost. We had no creativity. Jordan Ibe and Firminho were closed down quickly. We played like Rodgers was still pulling the strings and Joe Allen (Take no chances Joe) played right into Newcastles hands. The Game was played out in the middle of the park and They put more men in there. I feel Klopp will learn from a bad day at the office.

Ye that would be good mate this site is my little escape from reality. And also I like to read some of the regular posters opinions I was also an editor on a Facebook liverpool page. A well known one too I just couldn't handle the grammar police and abuse so hats off to you all ed001 ed002 ect and all the other eds apart from ed0025 because he's a blue. No joking aside tho mate really appreciate all your hard work and dedication to the site and merry Christmas time for me to go till later ed thanks.

I expect you to be honest ed like you always are and accurate I've heard some podcasts ect and seen your opinions on other players. Which I find to be very interesting I might not always agree but I vLue your opinion as a fellow supporter.

Definitely thanks ed just curious tho with your knowledge and your analysis of things it would be intriguing to see your view on the Milner embargo. Maybe a write up of how you perceive things and your opinion in full it would be a nice read and appreciated.
