Hi eds, is there a serious reason why we keep signing Southampton players, I have just seen on Ssn we are in talks with mane, so just thought why Southampton again? thanks.

koda2012

{Ed002's Note - It is far from difficult to work out, Klipperty wants Liverpool to by Sadio Mane. Sadio Mane plays for Southampton. Ergo ....}

1.) 24 Jun 2016 20:06:22
I thought it was because we were in the eu? But we are not now or is it because it will take a while for the effects to be seen ed?

2.) 24 Jun 2016 20:31:29
Is that "BUY", ed002?

{Ed002's Note - It is that damn premature text or whatever you suffer from Waro.}

3.) 24 Jun 2016 21:28:08
At our age ed002 shooting from the hip early is inevitable I'm afraid.

{Ed002's Note - At my age it is the plastic hip W.}

Any shot is better than nothing at all 👍.

6.) 25 Jun 2016 00:20:16
You only get a bucket and half.

When are we going to see a bit more transfer activity? 😝😝cheers all eds great job, I'm come to this site at least 5x a day.

koda2012

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps once the transfer window opens. Until then Liverpool will continue to make bids worth a total of £100M every day on different players.}

1.) 04 Jun 2016 19:49:48
Only 5x a day? How do you expect to keep up to date with all the transfer deals?

Thanks ed001, I like that you got confidence Klopp is going to take us to another level, obviously now I got the extra bit with them saying we now got a champion manager in mourhino to put up with all summer.

koda2012

{Ed001's Note - Jose has a big job on his hands there.}

1.) 22 May 2016 11:18:45
Hi Ed001, what exactly happened at Chelsea this season that led to Mou's departure? I still think he's a brilliant tactician that gets his players playing for him, but it just seemed like he completely lost it this season.

{Ed001's Note - he lost the players.}

2.) 22 May 2016 11:50:19
Jose is past it IMO. We all know his M. O. :

Park the bus, hit on break with 2 speed merchants and have a violent thug as a striker diving around in the box.

3.) 22 May 2016 12:02:01
mourinho is a good manager, no doubt, but he uses the same formula wherever he goes. he buys the best players available at any given time, then tries to mould them into a team. Eds right, he has a huge job on his hands, but there are a number of factors not in his favour. One is that the current breed of top players are a different breed to the ones in his heyday. some of them on huge wages don't appear to have the same incentive to play as a team, eg current Chelsea squad that he built or players like Balotelli etc. Klopps plan is more about getting some top players, but primarily those who really want to play forr their wages eg Suarez type.
United are a great club but it could be a long road back for them, especially with the abrasive attitude of Mourinho at times. Some modern players don't like to told what to do, as Van Gaal found out with some of his buys. We shall see.

4.) 22 May 2016 12:10:16
Thanks Ed for the reply, was it anything like his last season at Real? That was a proper mess.

{Ed001's Note - no not as bad as that, that was down to problems within Madrid anyway.}

5.) 22 May 2016 12:18:42
I don't like him as a manager or a person and think he is a vain self obssessed moron. What happened at chelsea was his vanity catching up with him, he angered too many people with his antics and lost the players as result, worse than i have ever seen from any team actually.

6.) 22 May 2016 13:58:29
Could be a renaissance for Fellaini then Ron!

7.) 22 May 2016 14:43:18
Don't bold back AW say what you really feel haha! Totally agree, I also think Man Utd have been totally lacking in class the way they have treated Van Gaal, so it would seem that Utd and Jose are a perfect fit. Just waiting for the drama to unfold at the Theatre.

8.) 22 May 2016 14:58:50
Anonymous - He's defo vain and self obsessed, but he isn't a moron, and Utd will win things under him in the 2-4 years he stays, which will keep the mega sponsors off the owner's backs for a while. I hope I am dead wrong on this! I will be (pleasantly) surprised if they are not top 4 next season. What is unlikley is that he will build or leave a legacy, whereas I expect Klopp to improve our position sustainably, in much the same way as he did with Dortmund.

9.) 22 May 2016 18:19:42
Yes except mourinho already has great teams in place for him when he joins, he just improves them with the vast resources he receives. United have more money than just about anybody but transfers are becoming harder, in part due to the overhyping of the clueless media of players and the clubs not knowing how to handle them when they sign them and struggle.

United have a bad team on the decline, virtually none of the foundation fergie left is there. Martial was a good purchase but at what cost? can't go blowing 60 million a piece for half decent players. They quite literally have martial, and de gea, who will leave eventually. Smalling is okay. Rooney is vastly on the decline but is almost unshiftable and the media just won't have it that he be dropped. United are in a right mess, and you can kiss the chance of those youngsters kicking on goodbye if mourinho takes over.

10.) 23 May 2016 04:00:51
will they even fit his ego into the stadium? the best thing about this for me is that deep down all the utd fans wanted pep, who will have unlimited funds to work with and of course champions league, where as the ego will have unlimited funds and the Europa league, I hope utds club doctor is made of stern stuff.

22 May 2016 08:47:21
Hi eds thank you for your previous responses to my questions I love having your insight. May I ask you for a bit of your knowledge please, I'm now going to have man utd fans in my ear of how they have done better than us this season (cup and European football) and klopp is a flopp and blah blah blah, what would your response be. Cheers.

koda2012

{Ed001's Note - just tell them well done, and leave it because you will be able to remind them how stupid they look when Klopp takes us up a whole new level. In the future you will be able to bring that up every time they try and talk footie.}

1.) 22 May 2016 11:15:36
Just take it, they got one over on us. They had a better season than us even though we both had rubbish seasons. We would do the same if we had won the Europa and they lost the FA cup, I just feel like there banter is a bit more venomous.

2.) 22 May 2016 18:40:05
We both failed to make it to the CL so don't see what the issue is.

19 May 2016 20:14:46
Hi eds thanks for your response from my last question, just another, with everyone going frantic about us signing pitor z fella (can't spell his surname sorry) what qualities do you think he has and where could you see him starting in our 11, thank you for your time.

koda2012

{Ed002's Note - He can run very quickly. I cannot see him as a starter I am afraid.}

1.) 20 May 2016 20:35:14
I think Zielinski will replace Joe Allen in the squad, and will initially be a squad player. He plays in a 3 man central midfield for Empoli, generally on the right, and is the more attack minded player in the team, getting forward.

2.) 20 May 2016 21:28:09
AG

Ironically that's the only place Milner should be paying if Klopp ever plays with a three CM's. Allen has been an impact sub most of the season. If you sell him for a cut price and buy a squad player for double the price how does it ever makes any sense?

3.) 21 May 2016 03:02:48
I think anyone that has a decent idea of footballers would see that zielinski is certainly no improvement on what we have. He's a lot more forward thinking that the players we already have but that also means his end product isn't the best. His range of passing is decent but doesn't match hendo or even can. Has as much defensive qualities as can and that isn't very good.

Plays the ball well and tries to link up because he is quite quick as ed2 has said but again end product is lacking. When watching him a few times since we where heavily linked to him he made absolutely no impression on me what so ever. I'm quite disappointed in this signing especially if it's the only central midfielder we get. Possibly only an upgrade on Allen which is certainly not what we need right now. Ed2 is spot on not a first team player.
