In place of Keita we're getting Keito (Nakamura) from LASK, Austrian Bundesliga.
Is that true?

If that's true I'll have have to take back a lot of my criticisms of the club. Clearly there must be an imminent worldwide shortage of right footed left-wingers and we're stockpiling in advance.

Haha could be… hang on my phones ringing, I think it’s Julian Ward.

A cheap mediocre player from the Austrian league would sound about right.

@Ort, before Brighton, Caicedo was a cheap, 'mediocre' player from the Ecuadorian league. And yet, many here are questioning why we didn't sign him then and blasting the scouts for that.

Besides, the last player we signed from the Austrian league didn't do too badly for us.

Attacking midfielder / forward according to anything I can see in the media and a left winger according to transfermarket.

He'll be ours by 11pm then. Can't have enough left wingers.

Not interested in deadline day anymore. Just waiting with intregue for Thaiboy to provide context.

On that subject I dimly remember a lower division men's team in Mexico (I think) were trying to register two women to their side. And FIFA basically shrugged their shoulders and said: "We'll leave it up to your league and FA to decide if it's ok. We don't care. "

Dunno what happened afterwards. This would've been in the 2000s. Maybe I halucinated.

{Ed001's Note - Perugia (I think) tried to register a woman's player, would have been around 2002 when they also tried to boot the South Korean for scoring against Italy.}

Thanks Ed. Perguia was the necessary tip off to find it in a search.

Perugia tried to sign Brigid Prinz and Hanna Ljunberg in 2003. Prinz refused cos she thought it was a publicity stunt (she was probably right) and the deal for Ljunberg fell through. Can't really see why. They were in Serie A at the time.

I was thinking of Celaya FC looking to sign Maribel Dominguez a couple of years later, but it was actually FIFA who barred it. The league were happy enough to let it go ahead.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome mate.}
