We went from doubters to believers, are we now going back to doubters?
even after we have won the champions league and premier league?
Did we learn nothing from Klopp's teachings or are we really that shallow because we cannot go on a epic spending spree?
The negativity on here is just depressing, if we cannot enjoy being champions we will never enjoy anything, so what is the point of even supporting this incredible football club?

Not from all of us KK, I think we have a fantastic team with a squad that's shaping up nicely. No idea why some can't just appreciate what the lads have given us over the last couple of years. Surely they deserve some loyalty and a bit of trust in the coaching staff that helped take us this far. Of course it would be nice to have loads of cash but would you rather have that than have VVD, Alisson, Mane, Salah, Firmino and a tried and tested team, its a no brainer in my eyes.
The biggest threat to us is ourselves, does the team still have the hunger to go all out again, if it does then at the very least we will be right up there challenging.

Hi long time reader 1st time poster! My only concern is Klopp losing patience. He's kept his part of the bargain (& then some), but its still not enough for him to get the backing he needs in the transfer market. Doesn't want many but a few of his long term key targets are gone. Hope he doesn't get disillusioned. Lots of teams out there who'll take him in a heart beat. Need to keep him happy.

{Ed002's Note - Klopp knows the situation - it is nothing to do with not being backed.}

I can only assume people are reacting like this because we waited so long to win the league, the fear of not winning it again is making them crazy. It's been claimed over and over again that the weak part of the squad was lb cover, and we've bought in tsimi. It's been claimed over and over again that, of the 1st 11, Gini and Gomez are where we could possibly improve, and it looks likely we'll be swapping Gini for Thiago, and if the money was there, we would have gone for a starting cb. But unfortunately, due to circumstances no one could have predicted, the money isn't there this season. Other than that, people are just wanting for the sake of wanting.

Klopp also told the owners when hired he would work with the squad he had and win things without investment.

They’ve backed him plenty to now and C.V. means we don’t have funds right now.

People keep talking about our rivals strengthening. I’d like to know who these rivals are?

Spurs, Utd and Arsenal are still light years away from challenging for the title.

Chelsea have significantly improved their squad with their signings so far but let’s face it they bloody needed to.

City thus far have only signed Nathan Ake who is an average addition to an already shaky defence. All the while, they’ve lost David Silva also who is a huge key player and will be missed as much as kompany was.

Spot on, Ed02. I hear the same drivel too like “Oh Klopp is losing patience” or “Klopp is frustrated cos he is not being backed”. Absolute crap. He knows the deal cos he is part of the decision making process, if not a big part of it.

In addition, when was Klopp not backed exactly? Was it before or after he was given or allowed to spend over 400m his tenure or did we all just sleep thru it all? Again, moaning for moaning sake.

"Klopp might lost patience" = I have lost patience

"Klopp might become disillusioned" = I am disillusioned

anyways, I think the club and Klopp have done a great job. win or lose, I hope that they are operating in sync with each other. that's the main thing to me.

Shaq attack and red meister both great posts. Those rivals we think are strengthening so much are actually the opposite. United and Chelsea have inexperienced managers yet to shine at all. United no longer have De gea as a beast, or lukaku, ibrahimovich providing 25 or 30 goals. Chelsea also no longer have a top keeper, or hazard, willian or Costa key men. City no longer have kompany, Silva or sane. Spurs no longer have vertonghen, dembele or Erickson. The likes of matic, alderwield, fernandinho, aguero, aubameyang, lacazette are getting beyond the years of improvement for these rivals so with each club I only see them weaker as a threat now more than ever when compared to even 2 or 3 years ago. Mourinho at United, pochetino at spurs, pep breaking records at city, sarri or conte at chelsea, emery at arsenal were all bigger and stronger threats as a rival to us. Lampard, solskjaer, arteta are 3 rookie managers being given huge money to spend and I have no fear whatsoever that they can come anywhere close to us yet. Pep and mourinho have squads that are passed their peak and both struggle when facing a season without the strongest squad in the league.

Also to suggest klopp not getting backed and him getting ignored of his wishes is silly. It's obvious klopp is content with not adding players who we don't need to improve. He was given big money to address the areas when he needed it and that was when he had yet to win or compete for any titles, why would they suddenly not listen to him then after 2 years of monumental success and improvement after backing him big when he had yet to achieve anything It's not even an issue any fan should be thinking of for even 1 second.

I know klopp won't be here forever. But this is now more than just a job for him.
Did you not see him the night we won the title? He nearly broke down in tears when he was speaking with Kenny and Souness. "I never thought it would feel like this" I think he said. He cares and is not going to walk away because he couldn't sign werner.
