I've been reading the thiago has agreed personal terms with Liverpool but we need to first raise funds to buy him. And nothing will happen until the cl is finished.

We must be highly confident of getting/ having the money for his transfer if we've agreed personal terms though right? It must be a done deal in all but formality. Of course nothing will be announced while the cl is still on but. I think it's done. I think he'll be playing for us next year, bar a big mess up (or injury)

Robbiesline

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have illegally tapped up Thiago and Bayern Munich made it clear 10 days ago that was completely unacceptable - and they need to sell to raise the money. Now his head has been turned and wants to move it seems that Liverpool will not pay the asking price and will try and leverage a cheap move or leave Bayern Munich with a player who is unhappy and return for him in January when a Bosnam move can be arranged for next summer. This would be truly appalling behaviour again. Bayern Munich have spoken with two other interested sides - Manchester City have concerns about the age/price/injury status as others at Liverpool have raised; PSG are waiting to see what happens over another issue.}

1.) 19 Aug 2020 10:37:41
I remember reading some time ago that one of the Bayern directors, when asked about Thiago, basically said, "We expected him to renew, but considering he has chosen not to, we believe he has already made arrangements elsewhere. "
Seems like he was talking about LFC.

2.) 19 Aug 2020 10:47:14
Sad this is becoming a typical way in which the club handles transfers.

3.) 19 Aug 2020 10:50:53
Ed can't we be fined and banned for this repeated behavior?
It doesn't bode well for the club both business and reputation wise.
I don't know why its not checked by FSG.

{Ed002's Note - If complaints are made to The FA or UEFA.}

4.) 19 Aug 2020 11:06:41
This behavior is despicable and needs to stop. I’m not buying the “Klopp is naive, acts in good faith, everybody else does it”. He is a cheat and this must end. And, as a similar but worse event occurred with the 12yr old kid, along with the repeated offenses. it is not just a Klopp issue, but a club issue. Where are the fans’ initiatives, rallying, writing open letters/ articles, whatever?
The world is not binary. It’s not either or. I love Klopp and the owners seems to do a generally good job, so it is not about “someone out”, but “Pretty effing please, stop cheating and treat other clubs with respect they deserve. ” The club did it in regards to celebrating the league win. “You are our fans, we love you, but you are idiots to put people at risk! ” We should demand something similar.

5.) 19 Aug 2020 10:58:01
Will we ever learn from past mistakes, clearly at some point it must hit home that we can not continue making enemies by pissing every other team off.

6.) 19 Aug 2020 11:39:41
Yeah, just needs to stop. I genuinely don't understand why it's so hard for the Liverpool team to contact Bayern asking their permission to talk to the interested player and sort things out. City and Chelsea seem to do this very well and get their transfers done without any hiccups. Maybe this explains why it takes Liverpool and United ages to do anything half the time, they are constantly pecking at players to try and get them on the cheap. It's a shame, if Liverpool had Cities infrastructure, I think they'd dominate for years to come, but this horrible behaviour can't keep going on, all it does it burns bridges with teams in the future and I'm sure will come back to bite Liverpool.

7.) 19 Aug 2020 11:42:58
We should get a transfer ban. Why aren't the other teams not lodging complaints to the authorities. We should be exposed and punished.

{Ed002's Note - Clubs simply want it to stop.}

8.) 19 Aug 2020 12:10:48
Surely though ed, if it doesn't stop the clubs should now go to the authorities. Its beyond a joke.

9.) 19 Aug 2020 12:23:54
Ed002 is proving tapping up difficult? I’m not advocating it as you can see from my previous comments, I don’t see why clubs are not filing the compliant it’s like lfc will never learn until they get there hands slapped.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have had their hands slapped before.}

10.) 19 Aug 2020 12:27:30
This is nothing new in football, yes I don't agree with it but it's happened for years. Only difference now is we have a manager capable of turning players heads. Years ago we made Gerrard do it for us.

11.) 19 Aug 2020 12:43:13
Same rubbish all the time tap up a player then the club he plays for set a price but LFC won’t pay it and leave a unhappy player stranded absolute W#%#%# carry on if u ask me! Pay the money after your tap up or f#%# off and you’ll be reported simple as!

12.) 19 Aug 2020 12:32:20
Firstly agree with everyone about the tapping up, but surely the only way they would find out if it has happened is if either the player or his agent admits it, or the buying club.
Is this something they would do to engineer a move as otherwise it makes no sense.
Again I don't agree with it just wondering why they find out.
Not sure why we can't behave correctly as it's not hard to show someone we want them through their agent!

13.) 19 Aug 2020 13:19:37
This is like groundhog day. this has been discussed again and again and again. I agree it's the wrong way to do business and I want us to sign thiago badly, as I think he offers real quality and something we haven't got but let's draw a line under the tapping up bs. please. It's been done and quite frankly is boring.

14.) 19 Aug 2020 13:30:04
heya ed2 - who is responsible for cleaning up our approach to transfers?

{Ed002's Note - Klopp needs to have his phone taken away from him.}

15.) 19 Aug 2020 13:42:03
I think you are all over thinking this. We have been lauding other signings we have made yet this potential signing we must be band or punished. let's not be naive would you all prefer we dealt with soton in a better way and not have Virgil, it may have been the same for Fabs and Becker but i'm sure you are all happy they are our players right now? All clubs do the same or similar things to gain an advantage. On a personal opinion it doesn't bother me but as always each to their own.

16.) 19 Aug 2020 14:16:10
haha true. but in terms of who ultimately holds accountability of Klopp and Co. is that Michael Edwards? or the new CEO? The club obviously know this is happening and continues to happen. So I am imagining that Klopp is being empowered either directly or via silence, to do what he does. otherwise they'd reprimand him somehow wouldn't they? is that a fair summary?

{Ed002's Note - It would be Mike Gordon.}

17.) 19 Aug 2020 14:35:41
thanks Ed. my sense is that the club are in a position of needing something remarkable to happen in order to change behaviour. I remember JOhn Henry made that comment along the lines of learning that contracts in football didn't mean anything. It was after the Suarez to Arsenal saga. That's not a verbatim quote but I wonder if there has been an attitude permeated throughout the club to contin ue in this way. I think a 1 or 2 year transfer ban or a new world where our transfer activity is so impacted by other clubs not wanting to do business with us, are the only things that may see change. I can't imagine there would be change in our approach out of our own volition without a significant external influence.

18.) 19 Aug 2020 14:52:55
northbeasle - I think you can appreciate the players once they have arrived as well as critique our approach to how we recruited them. Then there are some of us who would accept a sanction if it came.

19.) 19 Aug 2020 15:04:26
Like I said faith. just my opinion.

Lets hope he taps up the next Bobby, Sadio and Mo eh!

Just banter everyone before I get slaughtered! :)

20.) 19 Aug 2020 16:06:20
Maybe teams just need to stand to us they will not deal with us until we clean up our act.

21.) 19 Aug 2020 22:33:18
NB - wasn't criticizing you mate. For me it just comes down to principle and how we want our club operated, or at least how we would like to think our club are operating. I definitely think there is space in this world for massive entities like Liverpool to act with a bit of class.

22.) 19 Aug 2020 22:40:56
Naive to think we’re the only ones doing it, hence why it isn’t being challenged. When it is challenged and found to be only us, I’ll happily concede the point.

23.) 20 Aug 2020 04:19:45
Marshy - we've been sanctioned already.

24.) 20 Aug 2020 08:54:55
Sounds like brilliant business.

25.) 20 Aug 2020 08:55:21
I saw the other day on several Facebook pages, This is Anfield inclusive, that Liverpool were annoyed at the way Jamal Lewis' agent/ representative had behaved. I commented on the post hinting at the fact Liverpool were being rather hypocritical if true given our recent handling of transfers. Citing the numerous illegal tapping up of players such as VVD and Werner. I merely suggested those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones when talking about being respectful.

The abuse i received was astronomical. So it is clear that to some, not all, if we act out of hand and tap up player it is fine. If the likes of Barcelona tap up our players. then that is wrong.

26.) 20 Aug 2020 08:56:32
You guys are spending way too much time in minor details that no one here is familiar with.
In Klopp I trust.

27.) 21 Aug 2020 05:45:03
I agree completely that it's poor actions if we work transfers against the rules. Just curious though what the difference is to how United had agreed everything for Bruno F while yet to agree a deal with sporting. De ligt seemed to spend the summer talking and working deals with any club who wished despite Ajax always stating no club has put forward the offer required. Griezzman seemed to openly have shook hands with Barcelona while atletico were shouting for an offer yet to be made. Courtois seemed like he had everything tied up long before Chelsea could get the fee they demanded. Sir Alex always has stories told by players who said he rang them first to share his interest. Mahrez was after many talks with man city despite Leicester refusing to give the go ahead.

I'm far from in the know regarding any of those transfers but where is the crucial line that we're crossing that others aren't also?

{Ed002's Note - I don't understand why you struggle to understand something that has been explained over and over again. Clubs cannot approach and speak directlty to a player without the permission of the selling club. These posts trying to defend those who cheat are getting embarrassing. We can keep dragging this on as long as you like.}

28.) 21 Aug 2020 12:21:17
cruicially we need to do the simple thing of asking permission. something most of us teach our kids from a very very very early age.

Question for eds (if you have the time) and reds.

This season we were a third tier team in the champions league (I think) which seems weird seeing as we made the final.

When will it be decided what tier Liverpool will be in next season? Will winning or not winning the league make a difference, and what other factors are considered?

Robbiesline

{Ed002's Note - Winning league or CL will be pot 1 - else pot 2 or 3 depending on ranking and who else qualifies.}

1.) 05 Feb 2019 07:30:57
The pot you go in is based on European performance over the last 5 years I believe? But if you win the league or champions league you automatically go in pot 1. We were on the cusp of pot 2/ 3 this year so at a guess I think if we beat Bayern that will probably bump us up into pot 2 but a lot has to do with who qualifies.

02 Feb 2019 17:29:05
No word of a lie, I saw timo werner near wlva rd. In a grey mazzarati. God knows why. Reckon he will be a liverpool player next year.

Robbiesline

1.) 02 Feb 2019 20:40:09
Or Everton?

2.) 02 Feb 2019 20:43:47
Think he was supposed to go to Blackpool.

3.) 03 Feb 2019 10:29:48
Timo was in a grey Walter Mazzarri? Got nothing against it, but I didn’t know Walter had gone grey already. But if he is signing, then it’s good to know he’s enjoying the sights and attractions of Liverpool already. 👍.

4.) 03 Feb 2019 18:50:01
‘God knows why’ 😂😂.

10 Jan 2019 07:40:56
Hi ed02 (or anyone, eds or reds)

Do we still have interest in the young full back from Bristol City?

Robbiesline

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing new.}

1.) 10 Jan 2019 10:13:36
i very much doubt they would sell him mid season! potentially one for the summer but i imagine most big clubs would be looking at him, having a very good season!

2.) 10 Jan 2019 10:18:17
Lloyd Kelly could be a very smart purchase, he’s a big, quick, mobile, a good defender and a good footballer (he dominates players who are a lot older than him) . He can also cover left back comfortably as well as centre back. To my mind he looks like he has the ability to step up, the same way Rob Jones did.

3.) 10 Jan 2019 10:41:52
Id take another rob jones alright!

Form isn't about stats, it's about playing good football, winning games. Everton go in as the form team. I think if we manage to dominate them then we'll win. But if we struggle to keep the ball and gift them chances then form teams tend to take them.

I think we will dominate. Fab needs to be on it and go with tried and trusted gini and Hendo. Ih it turns out we are dominating then bring on thiago second half. If we are losing the midfield battle bring on milner. A good game for milner I reckon.

Not seen one of these type posts lately, so - who are liverpool's three best players today?

I'd say
Salah
Henderson
Van djike.

But there are cases for mane, robbo Ali, Bobby and even thiago (although I haven't seen too much of him)

Robbiesline

1.) 16 Oct 2020 08:56:15
You could've made it 5 mate, it'd of made it a bit easier lol I'd go with Bobby, Mane and Hendo.

2.) 16 Oct 2020 09:01:50
That’s though! But at a push vvd mane Salah!
Ali
Vvd
Robbo
Hendo
Mane
Salah
Are our best players imo.

3.) 16 Oct 2020 09:23:37
Trent VvD Salah
Mane barely missed the cut for me.

4.) 16 Oct 2020 09:25:24
Honestly I wouldn't say Van Dijk has been top 3 this season. His form has been patchy at best. Mine would be Salah, Mane and Henderson. Was going to say Thiago for his 45 minutes against Chelsea but maybe premature!

5.) 16 Oct 2020 09:27:27
I think Hendo is a very important player for us but for me he’s not in our top 3 or 5 for best players.

1. Mane
2. Salah
3. VVD

Thiago is knocking on that door as well along with quite a few others.

6.) 16 Oct 2020 10:31:05
VVD is no where near he’s best so not in the top 3 for me mane, salah and hendo for me.

7.) 16 Oct 2020 10:15:25
Thiago can't be considered yet for me, he's only played half a game, we need to see him a lot more then that to see if he could make our top three player list. Hopefully a year from now he will make it (i believe he will) but right now, it's almost impossible to consider him.

8.) 16 Oct 2020 11:00:52
On current form for me, it’s Robertson, mane and Salah. Maybe Jota.

9.) 16 Oct 2020 11:32:03
Salah I’d argue against that mate. If the question was who’s our most important player then I’d agree Thiago wouldn’t be in there as he’s played 45 mins. The question was who’s our best players. Thiago is a world class player and he’s still a world class player. For argument sake If a club was to say sign the best player in the world it doesn’t mean he’s now not the best at player at that club because he’s just signed. He’d still be the best player in the world. I think if we were to put out whole squad up for sale and money wasn’t an issue the best teams in world football would be beating down the door to sign Mane, Salah, VVD, Thiago, Allison, Trent and Robbo.
But again this is only my opinion. The great thing about this debate is it can go on and on as everyone will see things differently.

10.) 16 Oct 2020 15:14:17
VVD, Thiago and Salah. our best playerin each area of the pitch 4 me.

11.) 16 Oct 2020 15:50:35
Salah is right jk23 dude. He can't be considered l. He's played 45 minutes against ten men. I agree that he has the potential. But this is a different league. Wc players have moved and flopped.

And salah, I envy you mate. I should have had the bottle to put Bobby in my top 3. Form is temporary, class is permanent. Vvd was asked who the best player he has ever played with and he said Firmino without much thought. And he's played with some pretty tidy players.
And if you don't think Henderson is in the top 5 you need your head testing. You know fifa stats are ridiculous. I think Hendo got 65 for pace. He is among the faster players at the club. He is definitely, 100% in the top five and my 3. You did just watch him miss out on player of the season by a hairs breadth. He was our best player last season. So how come he's not even one of the first names on your team sheet? Baffling.

12.) 16 Oct 2020 16:17:00
Robbie how can anyone be right mate when the question is subjective and everyone’s answer is their own opinion. You even asked the original question 🤦🏻‍♂️ You never said who’s been Liverpool’s best players. So a month after signing VVD I’m guessing you rated him behind Lovren, Klavan and Matip because he can’t be a better player than them if he’d only just signed under your logic. Like you said class is permanent and we have lots of players with class including Thiago. Perhaps if you allowed other people to have an opinion other than just yours then we wouldn’t need our heads tested.

13.) 16 Oct 2020 16:24:49
And after spunking 60 mill on Allison he wasn’t a better keeper than Mig or Karius from day 1 😂.

14.) 16 Oct 2020 16:37:17
Look lads there's about 7 or 8 players at the club who are the best in their position so picking 3 is pointless! i love the 20 odd of them.

15.) 16 Oct 2020 17:07:30
Jk23, there's no need to add a touch of snide. It is subjective to a point. Like you say am I entitled to say klavan is better for Liverpool when vvd was in yhe team.

Jordan Henderson is definitely in the top five at our squad. People who don't rate Hendo and Bobby are usually people who know plenty about watching skill but not so much about tactics.

Thiago can't be considered because he hasn't played yet. I'm sure he'll be in all our top 5s, maybe not top 3 though. We'll see. I certainly hope he does. Andy Robertson says Henderson is the most underestimated player he's playedwith.

16.) 16 Oct 2020 17:27:27
Robbie I didn’t add any snide it was with a touch of banter as this is a banter site. You mentioned fifa stats so I assumed that was you bantering also. I’ve not said anything negative about Hendo or Bobby in any of my comments. Actually I said in my first comment Hendo is one of our most important players. Like I said originally and you repeated its subjective. And then your next sentence you used the words “is definitely in the top 5” and “Thiago can’t be considered” so to me that’s not subjective. That’s you saying you are right and I am wrong.

17.) 16 Oct 2020 18:02:08
JK23 on whether Thiago is one of our best players, I agree with both Salah and Robbie on this. Thiago is a great player, no doubt. But he is not one of our best players yet cos he has yet to prove that. Both statements can be correct at the same time.

18.) 16 Oct 2020 18:34:24
Rm In my opinion he is. In yours he isn’t. I’ve not said anyone is right or wrong. I’ve just given an opinion. I’m the one that’s being told I am in the wrong mate 👍. No ones opinion is right or wrong. But when you use words like definitely, cannot be considered, need your head testing then that’s not opinion.

19.) 16 Oct 2020 18:52:43
Anyone who hasn’t put Thiago in is absolutely insane. He is top 10 players in the world.

20.) 16 Oct 2020 19:04:49
Robbie, Salah and Rm totally appreciate your opinions lads and my replies weren’t in anger or out. It would have been the same if we were sat in a pub having a pint debating it. You boys have chosen yours and I simply chose mine. At no way am I saying my selections are right and yours are wrong or saying you need your heads checked 👍.

21.) 16 Oct 2020 22:10:48
Salah, Mane, Hendo, on this season so far.

22.) 16 Oct 2020 22:56:34
Stevie you do realise Hendo has only played 66 mins against Leeds and 45 mins against Chelsea this season. If we basing it on this season alone then Thiago has to be in there for his 45 mins 👀. Nah mane, Salah and Robbo have started this season well for me.

23.) 17 Oct 2020 09:05:41
BigVirg not sure u can say that mate. Allison is best gk in the world. VVD best defender and Mane is getting very close to being the world best wide player. Of course we not basing on this season just overall. Thiago for me will have to prove he is better than those three. Am not sure either Thiago quite makes world top 10.

24.) 17 Oct 2020 09:51:41
VVD above everyone else coz the entire backline depends on him. That is not the case in midfield and upfront.

25.) 17 Oct 2020 11:24:43
No prob, JK23. I did not take it personal at all. Your opinion on Thiago being one of our best, is actually a valid one to have and can see where you are coming from on that. I just think he needs to prove his greatness and "bestness" here first and that is all. Peace and Love, bro.

26.) 17 Oct 2020 11:42:36
Too many people base their opinions entirely on the past (even though it is not to be forgotten) . But the game is entirely about "what have you done for me, lately"? Thiago has a stellar record and undeniable footballing skills. But he's yet to show anything, beyond any doubt. The "Keita project" should teach us plenty. Nothing is guaranteed.

09 Oct 2020 07:59:29
Aaaagghhh send too soon again!

We saw that his team could play. They put in some fantastic performances. But ole cannot motivate his players.

I've always thought the pressure and expectations of ghe fasns at utd were crippling ghe team. Similar to us in the 90s. So this season, without fans in the stadium, if I were utd fan, I'd be thinking "anything can happen this season. We have the talent to win league" but they are miles away.

If i were in charge, ole would be out (would've been out a year ago tbh) and I'd bd looking at poch. Two guys, similar age. And it's plainly obvious that poch has 10x as much charisma and 20x tactical sense. You never, ever here ole talking about specific tactics. He never explains strategies evdn after games. It's always they were goid/ poor, we were great/ not good enough. He never says where they were great or not good enough.

Utd would be better off with Roy Hodgson. Ole is a championship level manager at best. He should have stayed at mould longer, maybe moved to Scottish pl or championship. Learned a bit about man management and raw tactics, let alone adroit tactics. I hope he stays there forever.

I believe with a first class manager, utd have ghe players capable of at least looking like mounting a challenge. And after a couple of transfer windows a first class manager could have them up to liverpool City level

Is there a pl manager worse than ole? Parker at least has something about him, working with a poor team. Do you think ole would have gotten Fulham promoted to the pl? Absolutely not.

This is a bit tongue in chops, but anything can happen this season. Manchester United could be playing on the championship in 2021!

Robbiesline

1.) 09 Oct 2020 09:08:40
This is the Liverpool page. Always wanted to say that.

2.) 09 Oct 2020 10:42:03
I know Barnes, but I'm fed up with people knocking our team after one or two below par performances. We are so lucky as fans, and we still moan.
We have serious trophies under our belt this last few seasons. Utd don't. We have hope and belief. Utd don't. We have a good chance of the league, utd don't.

We have a team of very talented players, so do utd. We have a very clever and capable manager, utd don't.

Who is a worse manager than ole in the pl?

Can you imagine being a player. Is there anything about ole that makes you want to play for him? Is there anything that makes you think you could warm to him? He seems thoroughly unlikable. The only thing is the fact he was a bit part player in a very successful team (let's be honest, one of the best teams there has ever been) but I think that would actually alienate him from his players. Many of them have much more talent than he ever had and I could see them resenting him.

Put it this way. When he gets sacked, do you think there will be many clubs keen to aquire his services?

3.) 09 Oct 2020 12:30:55
We’ve just got to concentrate on putting our own problems right Robbie mate. On the Back of the heaviest defeat I can remember since being born, it’s probably not the week to be pointing the finger at those lot.

4.) 09 Oct 2020 13:17:47
Well, they also lost by a five goal margin and they were at home. So if we can come into such (deserved) criticism, then o can they mate.

5.) 09 Oct 2020 14:35:55
Ole got them third place last year. Im not so sure Hodgson would achieve that with the same players. Im not defending OGS but he has fared better than i thought he would so far.

09 Oct 2020 07:43:04
Pressed send again too soon! Sorry.

Martial has been used incorrectly. Trying yo fit round peg into square hole. Ole had stuck at it for years, and then just buys an out and out cf in cavani. So all that messing with martial's game seems to have been a bit pointless. Ole didn't scout eddison, he hasn't been after that sort of player to fit his team. He just sees a big name available, and after losing out on his main target, just goes for the big name.

I can't think of a player who has really progressed under ole. Fernandes looks a great signing, but if you follow the trend at utd, he will probably not go on to become the world class mf he should do. He definitely has the potential to become one of the finest cms in Europe. But under ole I can see him stagnating

The young Scottish midfielder; mctomminay (sorry about the spelling) looked really really promising. His intensity reminded me a bit of a young Jordan Henderson, but again, he hasn't progressed the way really should have (not evdn sure he still at utd he has become anonymous)

My point is; ole, good little player (not a great player mind you) is possibly the worst manager in the premier league. I am absolutely baffled as to how he has kept his job. I quite fancy him yo get the sack this term. Especially if cavani flops. If, God forbid, klopp left tomorrow. And ole wasn't a utd man. I don't think there is a manager in the premier league that I would hate to manage us more than him. What credentials does he have? A few months at mould. He is completely out of his depth. It has been evident from day one.

I understand that they want a manager who is passionate about the club and they want to give someone time to build a team. But when do you say "this isn't working" he has spent a fortune, up there with us and city and Chelsea. But they are in exactly the same position as they were when he came into the job.

Another example of his incompetence; utd went on a really good run after the restart, probably the best team, in form, Fernandes was playing great. Ole looked smug and we thought, okay he's cracked it.

Sorry, pressed send too soon.

Rashford was/ is one of the most exciting young prospects anywhere on the planet. He has been good, but he hasn't been great. Not as good as he should be by now.

The whole squad is filled with very good players. I'm not even sure who still plays there. Mata is a dangerous player, over rated yes, but still dangerous. The new rb awb, hasn't kicked on like a player should when getting their big move 2 years ago. Like saw has not progressed at all. Decent but that's it. He had so much promise at Southampton.

Anthony martial is a tidy player who is not used correctly.

Robbie, you really need to get this "send too soon" issue looked at by a specialist. May I propose Ed25?

{Ed025's Note - i only have one problem with being premature RM.. :)

Salah isn't getting a Hollywood move based on last night's performance. He's brilliant, don't get me wrong, but Madrid, Barcelona or juve won't take him imo.

The ox has definitely given klopp something to think about. It was only genk though. I'd bring him on at 60 minutes. Open the tired defence.

Dembeles unvieling said it all i think. The kid couldn't even do one keep up when they announced him. He looked like the kid in the playground who couldn't kick a ball. i've rarely seen a pro footballer (even semi pro) who couldn't dazzle me with keep ups and tricks. I don't doubt dembele could. But he has so much pressure on him and was sold too soon. A kid thrown into the snakepit that is the Barcelona dressing room.

They, and he, would've been better off had they not signed him. There is a message there if you have the wit to see it.

I believe him when he says that. He was a red for years. We developed him into one of the best players in the world. It has been said that he regrets leaving Liverpool and i believe that too.

It won't be the only motivation behind him snubbing utd, much more likely is the state that utd are in right now. But i believe that liverpool are part of the reason.

Dodgy theory: coutinio, through his agent, generates interest in a utd move. Snubs them at the last minute because he still has love for liverpool. Paving the way for pipco's return.

People need to realise everyone is suffering weird losses. We're not as tight but neither is anyone else. If city we're still playing so well I'd be worried but they're not. Who's going to win the league then? Everton? Don't make me laugh. I guarantee you they won't be top 4. If Hendo were on the pitch vs villa it would not have been 7 2.
