Am I the only person who doesn’t get Curtis Jones, I don’t see what he adds to the team. I can’t think of many assists or goalscoring opportunities he brings. Defensively he offers little too.

It’s like this poor recent run of form has caused everyone’s deep-seated old fears to resurface again.
We’ve gone from all fantastic to falling to bits 😂
Ok, admission time, mine is the midfield mix.
We’re not looking half as mobile and pacey, especially on the recovery.
My ideal midfield next season would be Fabinho, Henderson and AN Other (like Bissouma) .
Thiago does not get in, he’s a second half sub.

When you see kids like saka, emile smith rowe, martenilli, foden, Greenwood etc jones should look at what there doing and be inspired .
It must be hard for a 19 year old too Express himself when those around him are floundering.
He has too work hard and establish himself and if he has the talent it will shine through.

He's the only midfielder who dribbles forward with the ball consistently and plays the odd clever trick to beat a man or change the angle.
Most of the team are struggling at the moment so it seems unfair to pick out the youngest player and one who has shown some real promising glimpses.
He's shown more than kieta or Ox this season.

Keita is a joke LFcjota, if he had 10% of Jones drive/ ambition he would probably be a regular, Jones has very quick feet, is forward thinking, can pass, the only thing he lacks is pace.

Tottenham 2-1 played all game 17/ 11
Crystal palace 7-0 came on 69th minute 14/ 8
West Brom 1-1 played 83 minutes 17/ 2
Newcastle 0-0 played 68 minutes 11/ 4
Southampton game 0-1 didn't play 17/ 1
Aston Villa 4-1 played 61 minutes 29/ 13
Man utd 0-0 came on 76 minutes 17/ 3
Burnley 0-1 didn't play 27/ 6
Man utd 2-3 played all game 14/ 6

Reason for posting the games is to give the lad a break. He is young and he has played in games we have lost or not played well. But he has also missed so really poor games, Burnley for example but played in the last Utd game and we looked a lot better going forward.
Also played in the last Tottenham game where we should of won by an lot more but played well.

From day one I have felt that Jones was slow. But slower players than him have scaled higher heights. And he's been given a shot at securing a place in the title holders team. So it's up to him as to how far he can go with it.

Anyone one else you want to throw on the scrapheap while your at it, at least Jones tries and yes he is young so he does have time and he's a scouser so it matters to him, god didn't take you lot long to turn.

He’s 19 and will make mistakes and have patchy form but that’s true of all players his age. It’s not very often you see a kid of that age playing to such a high standard. He’s got to be one of the best prospects in European football right now. He’s a better player than Keita who we paid an absolute fortune for so that says it all really, I know who I would rather have in the team.

I think he looks like he's going to be a cracking player. Rested recently as he had played loads, was clearly in our best midfield and well deserved. Probably just lost some form maybe from a bit of tiredness, I don't know, he's still very young. Delighted we have him.
