I don't understand why people are getting so upset over this. Unless it's a major tournament I'd rather Liverpool players didn't play for their national teams.
At this point in the season I'd rather Trent have a couple of weeks off than play 3 games in a week for England.

Pardon my Spanish, but southgate is a gobsh##te. Glad trent gets a rest though, and as an irishman it doesn't bother me in the slightest, but for southgate to say he has a plethora of talent in the rb position is absolute boll#x. Wish there was journalist, journalistic enough to ask him to name one rb, English or not in the league that is better than trent.
