Chelsea's defeat shows why I'm still far from being convinced that they are the outright favourites for this league title. It is a narrative which is actually based on very little, people have confused a great cup run in Europe with a capability to do it over 38 games against City and Liverpool. Chelsea have proven to be fantastic in cup games and when their back is against the wall to grind out a draw or hold a lead, but you CANNOT win the league in this day and age when you play that negatively at home against a title rival. As much as Tuchel got everything right in the final, Pep also got everything wrong and he showed today that he learned his lesson.

I’m fine with being underdogs. Less pressure. If we quietly go about winning games and avoiding injury, we’ll be ok.

{Ed014's Note - there is no way you guys are getting away with pretending you’re under dogs! 🤣

we're winning nothing with this team this season, sloppy throughout.

Chelsea have never been favourites. City have always been the favourites and rightly so.

I'd put money on City, don't see them losing much this season.

Forget Chelsea when our team are p. ing around.

Imagine writing our season off just because we drew a game.
Overreact much diddy?

watch this type of performance throughout the season and come back to me then Flash.
people said the same last season repeatedly up until christmas, we were top remember, everyone saying were going to win the league and its amazing considering our injuries etc, but we were playing poorly and winning (just about), then we completely imploded if you recall

If we drew Brentford in the FA last January when they were still a championship team, we would expect to go there and win 3-0 or so. Any result for them like today would make headlines, ''giant killing'' etc if they won, which they could have with our atrocious defending. Now they're the same team, playing premier league but we struggle. Have they improved that much? Maybe, but we haven't.

ask yourself another question - would city beat these? They would paste them all day long

You need to be beating promoted teams and teams near the bottom home and away to have any chance of winning the league. United did it for years, city recently.
we cock it up, repeatedly.

Ask yourself another question, would Liverpool beat Spurs or Southampton? City couldn’t.

All vey nice and full of ‘shoulda’ and stuff - take a look at the League table - have a look who’s top. You might need to readjust some of the pre / mis conceptions you have.

Mark, not if you are part of the media cos all we read and hear for weeks is about how Chelsea are the best team in the league despite them being top of the table over us just cos their club’s name starts with a C and ours starts with an L.

Your pointing out league position 6 games into the season.
We are 3 points off 7th.
Plus we were clear at Christmas last season and look how that went.

Ed014, when your rivals are spending £100m more than you almost every transfer window. Then you’re the underdog.

{Ed014's Note - yeah ok then!

I guess having world class players like Allison, VVD, Fabinho, Thiago, Salah, Robertson, TAA and Mane doesn’t count for much then.

Nice try though 😂😂
