Thanks for that Ed, didn't think you would get the chance. enjoyable game but difficult because of benitez. I think he may be in an impossible situation because of previous signings. I do think once DCL Returns they will be ok. but even with their injuries the team should be more competitive. I'd abandon rondon up front and use richarlison for now. Unusually the defense looked woeful. benitez has teams well drilled normally.

{Ed001's Note - it was difficult to find time as I spent the night and morning afterwards mopping up after a burst pipe caused a flood. Then the afternoon started packing ready to ship my stuff out ahead of me. Not sure how many more I will get done as I am intending to move next month all being well and have to pack up the comp etc soon.}

Hendo was definitely motm. It was the best performance by any of our midfield this season. Bernardo Silva seems to play to that level most weeks.

Thanks for the review eds1 as usual it’s spot on. I was scratching my head wondering why Benitez would take this job on in the first place and now am sure he is wondering why as well! One thing that puzzles me is the fact that Everton have zero money and desperately need players yet there are spending god knows how much on a new stadium! And at this rate the fans will be watching champion football from it very soon.
Also can I ask are you just moving house/ apartment or to a different location. Either way mate good luck with the move👍🏻.

Only a suggestion but perhaps someone else can step in and do the match reviews for you so you can concentrate on moving for the next few weeks. I’m sure a poster did a couple last season when you were unwell.

Just my 2 pence worth on the Robbo situation I would say it’s the rest that has done him wonders. If it was the fact that it’s because of Tsmiskas then that would mean that Robbo allowed his standards to drop. Which I cannot imagine from him and I wouldn’t imagine Klopp allowing it from this squad.

Thiago is not always spectacular, he takes risks, but he enables Liverpool to control the game. His passing and vision are exceptional and make a huge difference to the team

There was an interesting article (I can't remember if it was the guardian or the athletic) that argued Benitez setting out in a 4-4-2 was a huge problem as it left a 2 man midfield often dealing with 4 liverpool players.

{Ed001's Note - then they need to look again as they didn't play a 4-4-2 until after subs. They played 1 up top for most of the game.}
