Probably won’t go down well but I think it would be an absolute disaster to let kelleher go, I’d be giving him every single cup game as a bear minimum and see how he progresses, come the end of the season depending on his development I’d probably then look at moving on Alison who will be nearing 32 while he can still command a decent transfer fee, I know keepers can play on at top level for years but I think Kelleher is a real talent and potentially the number 1 for the next ten years.

Depends. If Kelleher is leaving for a first-choice opportunity, let him go. Put a buy-back clause in the deal, charge a premium, do whatever… but let him go and have a chance of a career as a starting keeper. He’s been behind Alisson for 3 seasons now, and the latter one of the best goalkeepers in the history of the game.

Ali is one of a few players who has consistently year on year not let us down, if we were to ever replace him it has to be with another world class keeper. Although I think he can give us many years still.

I think it’s easy to forget how we were dying for a reliable world class keep before he joined!

Maths isn't adding up here. By the start of the 24/ 25 season Kelleher will be a few months off 26 years old. So you are saying he could then be No.1 for 10 years taking him to nearly 36 years old. Yet you want Alison, a superior keeper, to be sold a couple of months before he turns 32 whilst he is young enough to command a fee. Have i read this right because it's the most mental suggestion I've ever read on here ?.

At almost any other time in the last 25 years Kelleher would already be number 1, perhaps Reina’s on top form aside. Alisson is the best keeper I have ever seen play the game. Kelleher might end up being great, but that doesn’t compare to keeping Ali for potentially another 5-7 years.

I would have him play the cup games to keep him involved. He has done well for us overall when called upon but Alisson is absolutely superb so let's keep him no 1 as long as he's playing so well.

He is literally the last first 11 player we should be discussing to sell.

Id just let Alisson play until he starts dropping off and then go buy they best keeper in the world again. Kelleher will have a decent PL career i reckon but not sure he’ll ever be at that real elite level.

OP, so you want to sell Ali at 32? Do you know that GK’s at 32 are not considered old? In fact, they are right in their prime esp with a guy like Ali who literally gets better with every passing season. Not sure what you are on about, man.

I love Kelleher but I would not mind selling him say next season to not only go and further his career elsewhere but if it was required to help raise funds to get Gvardiol, for ex. Just my take.

Ed25 i mean when Alisson moves on. He’s the best now for sure but in years to come when we have to replace him i’d like us to bring in the new best in the world.

I fully agree, Ed25 cos he seems to get better with every passing season. Good luck to whoever is going to displace him in the coming years should this trend continue.
