Because we’ve made such wholesale changes, replacing one midfield with another, changing tactics again and a whole host of different variables it’s pretty hard to guess where we could end up this coming season.
It could all click in place by match day 1 or it could all take half a season to gel.
So we could finish anywhere from 1st to 6th for me, depending on how quickly the new team settles.

Top four looks miles off at the minute.
We started the summer needing 3 midfielders, we’ve bought 2 cracking players in there, and now we still need 3 midfielders ?.

Well we don’t need to replace Melo and Bajcetic has staked a claim in the first team. So there’s two player straight away. I would guess one might be enough ?.

Football isn’t as definitive as that. They just need to perform when called upon and put pressure on the starters for now.
Gomez just needs to be reliable when called upon for now.
I’m ok with Henderson leaving but appreciate others have a different view.

I honestly think 2nd, even with a transitional season. City are too far ahead to bridge the gap now but it's a work-in-progress.

I'm not impressed with Arsenal's business, I get a Liverpool 2013-14 vibe off them. Similar story with United, it's got Ole 20/ 21 false dawn written all over it (poor performances and jammy results last season) . Newcastle will solidify rather than kick on.

Also, my outside bet for top 4 is Aston Villa. Emery is an elite coach and the Torres and Diaby signings could be transformational, could probably get decent odds.

As it stands now I'd think between 6th and 10th place finish for us. Out early in the cup games and get semi finals in Europe.
