Hi Ed001, are you doing a review of the Chelsea game? I appreciate you are probably run off your feet at the moment but would love your view of the game. Although a draw away to Chelsea isn't a bad result, I thought the ease and speed in which Chelsea got through our midfield and defence at times, which has been a theme for us for ages now, is extremely worrying. Ali made some great one on one saves, which I believe we take for granted these days. On another day we could have conceded enough to make a decent result impossible no matter what the forwards did. Would also like your take on Salah's strop when subbed off. I appreciate he doesn't want to come off, but always find that kind of public reaction by a player a bit disrespectful to his team mates and manager. Would much prefer him to come off quietly and then communicate his unhappiness to the manager behind closed doors. There's no I in team and all that.

{Ed001's Note - I am in the middle of doing it mate. Not sure what the problem is with a player being upset to be taken off though? It wasn't like he did anything wrong. We have much bigger issues to worry about.}

I really don’t get the fuss over Salah - it could just have just been frustration at himself IMO. It’s not like he punched Klopp on the way off and I like to see a bit of fire in the belly. Far better than indifference.

Thanks Ed001, don’t get me wrong, I don’t think he should be punished or anything, I would rather not see it that’s all. There’s a time and a place for disagreement and on the pitch ain’t it. Agree that we do have bigger issues to worry about.

That's what I feel too SGRed. I think it's more frustration that he couldn't score despite having quite a few good chances to do so.

It can hurt taking off tape, you know. Mo might have been grimacing because of that.
But it's a good job Rocky Hodgson wasn't still our manager because I reckon he might have given Salah a dig on his way off.

I think Doak will be a fine player for us but Doak for Salah when looking for a winner made no sense whatsoever.

Salad threw a strop after being subbed off, something he has done thru out his LFC career. Oh, somebody call the Whambulance. This is a nothing burger.

He was prolly peeved he couldn’t break the record for scoring in 6 straight opening day fixtures. Or was mad at himself for not doing enuff on the pitch. The faux outrage esp from the pundits is hilarious.

I know he has always done it Oliered, but if he considers himself a senior member of the squad and potential leader he shouldn’t do it. I think any player is entitled to be angry about being subbed, but I can’t imagine Henderson or Millie making a fuss like that. I don’t think he should be strung up for it, but I also don’t believe it should be excused because he is are best player. It’s not a good example to set the younger players and could be a distraction for his team mates. It certainly made the home fans more vocal which everybody accepts helps the home team. I don’t like it when any player does it. Obviously I’m the only one.

@Verdo1, of course the whole Pep rant could have been staged. He used to do these at Barca. Just ask Samuel Eto'o who disected how Pep does it. He loves looking good in front of the cameras to make him look like something he is not.

Bobbie B, I am not condoneing it. I don't like seen that stuff as well cos it does not look good. What I am saying is that why the faux outrage esp. from the pundits? This is nothing new hence as you said, does not require this freak show of pundits taking their fake moral high ground whereas, they did way worse in their playing career than Salah did for being disappointed to be taken off.
