This inconsistent form won’t change until we get some real leaders in the team.
Players who would run through brick walls themselves for the cause, and will make sure everyone else does too.
We have allowed players such as Hendo and Milly to leave, with replacing them effectively.
Where we are now is what you get. Players who go through the motions and no-one is dragging them through, or tearing strips off them to get their backside in gear.
It’s all just too “comfortable”.
That is down to the recruitment team, the manager, the coaching set up, and the players themselves.
We’ve gone “soft”. Too easy to shake off the ball, too easy to play through, too easy to turn over.
Arguably, there is a long way back from where we are now, and it could involve a decent turnover of players to get some steel and bite at CB and CM.
No real pleasure in saying last season that this is eh er e we would end up. The sad thing is though, if I can see it as a grassroots football club coach, how the hell did individuals at our club who get aid a fortune, not see it coming?

Agreed. Bullied by a 40 Yo James Milner today.

Milner was the best Liverpool player today. We definitely need a warrior MF in the summer, maybe two!

Teams are reflections of their coaches.

Forget all the supposedly "world class" creative players we are looking to buy. We should just go and buy Joelinton from Newcastle. The guy would at least add some bite to the midfield if nothing else. We are lacking men in the team.

I think everyone has to accept it's not working out, we are in a results business and Slot isn't the right person to take us forward.
