Question for ed001 please! I'm not fan of slot at all but I do wonder about this in regards to him and football going forward! Do you feel that hiring someone to be a first team coach instead of manager leads to the lax manager we've had to suffer.
A manager would care about youth and development but a first team coach why would you care? Is this where footballs heading in your opinion a bit like American football?
{Ed001's Note - I don't understand why you think there is any distinction in this regard? Both are only there to get results, so neither are any more likely to care about youth development. Either a manager/head coach wants to develop youngsters or he doesn't, nothing to do with his job title.}

Ok, thanks for the reply, sir. I always appreciate your input, but I do feel if a man is put in charge of a club he has more responsibility than a man that's put in charge of a department. Thanks again.
{Ed001's Note - he may have more responsibility, but that does not mean he has any more vested interest in developing youth. His job still depends on the results.}

In fairness ed- it doesn't seem to matter what results he gets this season
