Been reading this website since 2009. Thought I'd register myself to finally do a post.
Woke up on Saturday morning and saw the Liverpool Whastapp notification that Slot was gone. I was shocked to be honest as I had resigned myself that he would be in charge next season. Ultimately it's the right decision but I am a little bit sad that it did not work out.
Still remember when he came in last season and we obliterated United at Old Trafford. His interview afterwards was one of the high points of his tenure.
The football we played during Thanksgiving week when Real Madrid and City could not lay a glove on us. Was absolute dreamland. I knew then we would win one of the big trophies that season. I genuinely believed that we had our manager for the next decade.
I will forever be grateful to Slot for giving us that Number 20. Also it would have been a travesty if players like Salah/Virgil had only won 1 league title. I hope he has a successful career out of England.
