We paid stupid money for Wirtz, let's be honest, Rogers completely outperformed him last season. We also paid daft money for Isak, given his injury record, but at least he was premiership proven.

@Overkill, we paid a huge sum for Wirtz, but he had genuinely been the best, if not amongst the top 3 players in the Bundesliga for the previous two seasons. Yes, he has failed to translate it to PL till now, but he was the absolute cream.
Rogers is also great, but he doesn't have the track record which Wirtz had when we were signing him. But the market is insane now, money seems to have no value for the big clubs anymore, it seems.
