Bild reporting XA done.
30 Mar 2026 20:36:15
Daily Mirror says Slot is here for the long haul and is happy with him. ?
30 Mar 2026 20:53:13
Bild was reporting from the report a week ago, which said we contacted him, not that it was done.
30 Mar 2026 21:02:05
Doesn't matter what they say, Carra said it and I believe him.
30 Mar 2026 21:05:49
BeKind, don't think they did, mate. Where'd you see that?
30 Mar 2026 21:25:32
The fume on here when Slott gets his new contract will be mental.
30 Mar 2026 21:38:42
Been all over social media today and Carra has stated it, happier days.
30 Mar 2026 21:39:47
New contract is hilarious. ? Manc alert. ?
30 Mar 2026 22:58:30
Fatwallet, I see lots of second hand social media recycling the claims, but nobody linking to an article on Sportbild by Axel Hesse, which has been cited as the original source.
The most recent Sportbild article on Alonso/Liverpool from Hesse (or anybody else) is from 25th March, titled "Alonso ready for spectacular return." But the article makes no claims outside of Alonso being the top candidate and that the club have remained in contact with him.
Seems like the claims on social media are misconstrued garbage tbh. Looks like somebody read an old headline, took it out of context, and a few others followed suit.

Sowhat is yet another troll who'll revel in communal disappointment
31 Mar 2026 08:12:26
Chewy only stating it was on social media, there was no new information.
31 Mar 2026 12:28:55
Fatwallet, op claimed Bild said XA was done. That's definitely new information. Appreciate that you're just sharing what you know, I'm only stating that it's garbage, mate.
31 Mar 2026 16:11:29
Alonso coming in is old news now. ?
Slot is here til the end of the season, regardless of a difference of opinion at the club. Only us tumbling down the table may change that.
My thoughts since about December have always been a mutual parting of ways at the end of the season, because Slot won't walk, nor does it seem anyone has the balls to sack him.
It suits all parties. His CV doesn't have a blemish, and we get who we wanted all along.
31 Mar 2026 16:39:03
Won't walk at all, or not till the end of the season? Don't see how anyone will think it's mutual, or that he has left the job at a worldwide club to go manage Ajax. A sacking is what it'll have to be.
31 Mar 2026 17:59:33
It will be mutual because both sides agree to part ways. It's that simple, so should be easy for you to comprehend, FM.
31 Mar 2026 19:21:54
Ah ye know yourself though, Fields. When it comes across the Sky Sports screen on the yellow ticker that a manager and a club have parted ways by mutual consent, no one ever believes it. ? Just don't get why Slot would willingly leave, that's all.
31 Mar 2026 21:59:23
Aye, you're right there, FM. ? The only thing that is keeping him from doing so is his ego, I reckon. Why would you jump, if no one is there to push you?
