An amazing masterclass from Allison. We've almost forgotten how brilliant he is this season. So a HUGE result. It did make me see though how this summer's transfer activity has to be seriously impactful. We looked slow and desperate. Kerkez (or Isak) and Sesko would be a brilliant start. Please keep Harvey . all subs had an amazing yesterday.

At Anfield we'll see a very different performance from the lads, we'll go through that's for sure.

Getting that result yesterday is absolutely massive for us. We shouldn't be surprised though, it's Europe and in Europe we have shown many times that we can make the impossible happen.

Salah, as always, I admire your positivity and confidence though I don't share it, when you say "for sure". I'm struggling to remember in all the years I've watched us being so outclassed. No two games of football are ever the same, and I'm hoping the home support will help lift us, like they have on countless occasions. However, I'm not "sure" of it.

3.) 06 Mar 2025 14:53:35
Good job one of us is sure of it Rome mate! I have no doubt at all that we'll beat them at Anfield.

4.) 06 Mar 2025 16:02:57
We should definitely go through now but last night we got battered.

5.) 06 Mar 2025 17:33:40
I haven’t really watched them play this season but saw the reports that they are very good. They are - based on our match - pretty impressive.

{Ed025's Note - you have a great chance of progressing now WDW, but i certainly would not be taking anything for granted..

6.) 06 Mar 2025 22:38:04
You can’t take it for granted of course but let’s not overhype them or under estimate us either. We are top of the best league in the world and finished top of the CL for a reason.

This PSG team played well but I think it was largely due to the circumstances of it being a first leg and them being the home team. They knew they needed a win because they know how difficult it is at Anfield and we knew we just needed to get a draw because we knew how difficult it would be for them at Anfield.

We made them look a lot better than they are by allowing them to do whatever they wanted with the ball until they got to our box.

One good performance in a first leg at home doesn’t suddenly make them prime 1970 Brazil or something. Let’s not forget the reason Ali was able to save all those shots is because they only created one clear cut chance in the whole game.

Exaxtly, Ed25. This tie is nowhere near over.

8.) 07 Mar 2025 06:05:16
I think you’re right Ed25, if we think we have it done we are fooling ourselves although I suspect Slot won’t think it’s done - I don’t think he’s anybody’s fool. I think our approach will be a bit different than the first game. I don’t think we’ll just sit back and let them come at us as much as- I think we will be more focussed on counter attacking and putting them under a bit more pressure. Plus, of course, mid-week European Cup match, we’ll have the 12th man with us ?.

Nunez . he has to go. If I employed someone who consistently failed to do his job for three years and is actually going downhill, he would have to leave, EVEN IF he was a great lad and energetic and popular!

I just don't get the fixed mindset of fans who insist on backing him STILL based on sentimentality and coz they 'love a grafter'.

If the rumours are true about us declining good money for him in jan then I wonder how the powers be feel about him now. I would sold him and played Danns.
There no point pussy footing about him anymore. Just pray win win the prem and upgrade asap.

2.) 21 Feb 2025 14:07:31
It’s about supporting the players who are currently wearing the LFC shirt - supporters will support their players - I think there is an understanding that we can improve on some of the players we have in our squad but all players that are register at LFC will get support from the fans - I think we could buy better than Curtis Jones but put Curtis next to any other clubs player at the moment and I support Curtis - players get enough stick from opposition fans, it would be horrendous if we all turned on our players what would be the point in that - I really like Nunez for the effort he puts in, I know for a 85m striker not scoring goals is a problem and one the club might look to address in the summer but for now we have other players scoring goals and are top of the league, if it comes to the arsenal game and we need a win you never know he could pop up and win us the game/ league with one goal!

3.) 21 Feb 2025 14:13:02
Its more wishful thinking than anything. There are always players you’d love to see make it die to their attitude or whatever it may be but this season was make or break for Nunez and it looks like being the latter now.

4.) 21 Feb 2025 14:13:09
We’ve gone from Bobby to Darwin.

So we’ve gone from no look goals, to look no goals.

All joking aside I’d love nothing more than to see him and Jota both go on a scoring run from now until the end of the season and help us win the league.

5.) 21 Feb 2025 15:22:57
Why didn't we sell Darwin and buy the Egyptian who went to mancity? He was obviously available, better than darwin and sure I read here we were interested?

6.) 21 Feb 2025 15:28:02
In the immortal words of Thierry Henry “I don’t know what he is good at”.

7.) 21 Feb 2025 15:50:02
I wouldn't have sold Nunez in January especially with Jota being out.
I've very little confidence in him but that doesn't mean he won't pop up with a few crucial goals before the end of the season. It also seems like Slot is losing patience, too, but if we are desperate or cruising, who knows what he will do.
I do think that some posters are more bothered about their support for a failing Nunez than they are about Nunez.
Winning games is more important right now and I'll be happy for Nunez to prove me wrong about him.

8.) 21 Feb 2025 16:02:23
Rigsby I’m more worried that we will lose Oli as well if Darwin is sold.

Hopefully he doesn’t go and become an internet supporter of another club ?.

9.) 21 Feb 2025 16:49:50
I wouldn't be surprised, JK ?.
He seems to know about other teams' fanbases and their opinions than he does about ours!

10.) 21 Feb 2025 17:55:42
A decision was taken to not sell in January. So we have him until the summer at least.

Not really much more that can be said. As Slot rightly said, the effort is non-negotiable. If he can't do that bit, then he shouldn't be selected or even subbed on.

There is a valid question as to why Chiesa isn't getting on at all.

That's recent though Ron. Mike would have said for the past year that Trent wanted to go.

If we’re not going to land an recognised TOP drawer manager We might as well go for Gerrard. He will, at the very least, win instant respect of the dressing room- manage egos well. Who knows the club DNA better? He will fire up a squad that will feel deflated post Klopp (unless we pull off the miracle of winning the Prem)

Kenco68

{Ed025's Note - him or Lampard would do me Kenco.. :)
