Alright Lads,

Chelsea fan in peace, bit late to the party but want to say well done on Friday's result completely deserved, was wondering whether you guys genuinely believe you will finish under Klopp this year as apart from Burnley been really impressed with you this year.

Hi Joe, welcome and thanks for your comments.

Personally, I have always believed we will finish top 4. I don't think we're going to be a million miles away from the top. I know Citeh have started really well, but let's see how they cope once the CL kicks off.

I'm enjoying Jose's travails at Utd!

Bit of a useless response but to be honest i don't think liverpool fans are thinking like that this year, we're just taking it one game at a time and enjoying the football as it comes. The only expectation is that we give it our best every game, which we have done so far, and do everything in our power not to lose. I'd like to see us challenge but what will be will be, the league is wide open.

My personal take is ask me again after we have played Hull, Swansea and Man U.

If we can demonstrate winning the games we're supposed to be winning and winning against the one team I truly dislike then maybe I'll allow myself to think about being top 4 contenders.

Like the post says above take one game at a time it's too early to think of winning the league if we can show we can turn up to the lower sides and put in performances like we did against the London sides i don't see why we can't dream of the big one but after the disappointing season where we bottled it I tend to stay away from dreaming big top four is achievable we just need to be consistent.

G1dgo has it about right. I wasn't losing my head when we lost to Burnley, equally I'm not getting carried away by beating Leicester and Chelsea. let's see how consistent we become and whether we can grind out wins when we need them.
What's your take on your own boys Joe?

6.) 19 Sep 2016 17:08:37
Between 8th and 13th obviously hoping for better just got a feeling we have peaked too soon.

7.) 19 Sep 2016 18:07:47
That's optimistic negativeredwalter. How about between 9th and 14th. Jeez.

8.) 19 Sep 2016 18:13:28
Are your seriously a Liverpool fan 8th to 13th I'd love to know what 12 teams are better than us.

9.) 19 Sep 2016 19:40:05
Cleggy I had both manc teams arsenal Chelsea Leicester spurs stoke westham a and everton to all finnish higher than us. I must just point out that just because I have us around 8th I think the points tally will be very close.

G1dgo and Wooly are spot on. Just taking it one game at a time and giving our all in EVERY game we play and thank heavens, Klopp doesn`t take games likely hence, he tries to win every game he coaches. if we show the same determination and hard work in every game we play and let the chips fall where they may, come season`s end. No need talking about title or top 4 because at this stage, it`s pointless.

14.) 19 Sep 2016 23:54:13
I think we will finish above Chelsea.

15.) 20 Sep 2016 08:27:38
Let's not get ahead of ourselves. The league is a "marathon" and only time will tell if we're genuine top 4 contenders. All the signs look positive but let's take it 1 game @ a time gents. I think we have a very impressive squad this year with quality in most positions which augurs well. YNWA.

I think Klopp has proven he can set the team up well enough to take a few points off the top sides so the key will be how consistent we are against 'weaker' sides that sit back and hit on the break. Traditionally that's been our problem as we had a soft underbelly and struggled without any width in Attack.

I sincerely believe Klopp has gotten at least 50% of the way to solving this with Karius, Matip and dropping Hendo deeper on Defence and adding Mane in Attack but let's see how they get on, still very early days. Gut feel is without any European competition we will have a good shot at top4 but depends on how Competition does. many challengers with City, Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham all dangerous.
