I agree with the ed01.Since winning the champions league. The next 4 transfer windows we bought Harvey, sepp and Minamino 1st summer the next season we put them out on loan and bought Thiago, Jota in the next. The rest of the money was spent putting players on silly contracts. I always believe we should have cleared Ox and Keita the yr we bought Thiago and Jota. But they where put on a high wage at the start. And then as ed02 often said we priced them out of moves. Ed 01 is spot on about Edwards he started believing is own hype.
I know I'm talking a different era when we worked with smaller groups of players but Paisley always got rid of players who didn't cut it at a big club, or who's fitness he couldn't rely on anymore and often at a profit.

This age doesn't matter thing is BS, as it all depends on the style of play you are asking the team to produce.
It has looked for a while now after buying the youngsters we have our approach is clearly to buy cheap and development. Gordon, Scanlon, Clarke, Harvey, Carvalho, Ramsey, Van de Berg, but the problem we are having is the injuries the squad is having to the mid age players 22 to 30 Diaz, Keita, Ox, Jones, Van Dyke, Konate. Gomez. And then of course the over playing of Fab Thiago TAA Robertson Salah, and the decline of Matip Bobby and Hendo to an extent.
Ed 01 hit it on the head about recruitment a lot of the players bought in the last 5 yrs have spent most of the season trying to get themselves fit. Excuse long time injuries through tackles on big Virgil, Diaz.
We have struggled this season with Continuity. Have we been able to play the same team for more than 3 games in a row?
I am glad that we are not renewing contacts on the likes of Naby Ox Bobby and Matip as it shows we are no longer padding the squad with unreliable players.
I don't mind giving 4 yr contacts to 28 yr olds who can do a job for 2 yrs and then compete with the younger players coming through for their final 2 yrs.
Hendo should be out of the team and playing second fiddle to Keita now, but Naby in hind sight was a bad signing. As Ed 01 says recruitment got it wrong.

Kostas is in and out of the team we need continuity. Robbo as been getting away with running up and down the field all yr. He has been terrible passing, shooting and his defending in stopping the cross coming in as been pish poor. I think the Mane working back, Gini hardly giving the ball away and the pr Pickford, VVD. Made people think Robbo was world class. This season he looks like a defender could be in a team that's gets relegated. Oh that's what he was.

I heard David Johnson was one of the funniest blokes ever, mate and is Scouse humour was loved on the after Dinner speech circuits.
As for comparing him and Latch, both strong old fashioned front men, but if they showed you their medals? Only one winner. Doc never got the credit he deserved, but how could he stand out playing with Keegan and King Kenny. Good Luck staying up Ed and I truly mean that, lf only for my Old man watching from above.

I think you may be wrong about Cody Ed 25,just like you are wrong about the yr you met Keegan. He left the reds in 77 mate.
I was bought up in the half the house support the reds, the other half the blues mate.
Thought latchford was a B Tech David Johnson, pal. Though you could do with either at the moment. Just being honest.

Can Bellingham be counted as a superstar at the moment. I would say the only Liverpool player to be a true superstar was Kevin Keegan and he fell off his bike.
