Ed1 - curious to hear your thoughts on mane and if you think he would be a good fit?

reus9

{Ed001's Note - as a player he is excellent and exactly what we need. Trouble is that he has a dreadful attitude and we should steer well clear as he brings far too much baggage. No good having talent if you are not applying it.}

1.) 08 Jun 2016 21:06:56
On his day he's quality, but he's very inconsistent too.

2.) 08 Jun 2016 21:09:51
Cheers Ed. Wouldn't some have said the same of Suarez?

{Ed001's Note - when did Suarez miss training and not turn up to team meetings? Different kind of attitude problem.}

3.) 08 Jun 2016 21:10:40
Eds 2.what is wrong with Manes attitude? Have there been specific incidents? Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - lots of late attendances or missed training sessions and team meetings.}

4.) 08 Jun 2016 21:28:09
Do you think he could turn a new leaf? After all he is still young and he has plenary of time to learn.

{Ed001's Note - no idea, I don't know the lad well enough to know if he is just young and being an arse through immaturity or if he is just an arse.}

5.) 08 Jun 2016 22:18:43
Sounds pretty much as your opinion on Gotze?

{Ed001's Note - no, Goetze has injury problems, that is why I would steer clear.}

Which players in the Prem have you been most surprisingly impressed with this season Ed1?

reus9

{Ed001's Note - has to be Kante, I had never heard of him. Alli, as I thought he would take a season or two to settle. Antonio, I knew he worked hard but I had not realised just how good he was, he never looked like he quite had enough ability for the Prem. Lanzini was really beginning to blossom before he got injured as well. Funes Mori has looked good, especially considering the manager gives him no help with defending. The Bournemouth centre backs. They have been a rock for them in the main. Ake has looked really good.}

1.) 21 Mar 2016 15:47:19
Marhez?

{Ed001's Note - he said surprisingly and he had already shown he was quality last season.}

2.) 21 Mar 2016 18:04:41
Kante without a doubt. Such humble attitude towards the game and what a fine fine player.

3.) 21 Mar 2016 19:10:04
Cheers Ed1.

4.) 21 Mar 2016 20:02:17
wes morgan has been immense this season, but all the leicester players seem to be having blinders.

5.) 22 Mar 2016 01:47:23
Drinkwater and Kante even tho, Mahrez has been quality but that, we already knew.

6.) 22 Mar 2016 04:28:08
I have been impressed with payet at west ham and okazaki at Leicester and ighalo at Watford. my footballer of the year would be kante and young player delli alli, Claudio raneri manager of the year with a special mention to eddie howe for the superb job he has done at Bournemouth.

{Ed001's Note - I knew Payet was quality and that his issues were off the pitch, so I couldn't include him. It is when things are not going well that you need your best players to stand up and be counted, so we will only know about him if they go on a bad run. Okazaki I loved as a player before he arrived and so again I couldn't count him. Ighalo I remain to be convinced by. He had a purple patch but the rest of the season has been average.}

7.) 22 Mar 2016 05:36:56
point taken about payet ed but I did not no of okazaki personally that's why I chose him, I have ignored ighalo's recent poor form as I was impressed by him earlier in the season, having said that troy deeney has been a very unselfish partner for ighalo.

{Ed001's Note - I love Okazaki's style of play, he has always been willing to run himself into the ground for his team and that is hard to dislike. I have to say Ranieri is using him brilliantly.}

8.) 22 Mar 2016 12:50:59
I am rather biased as I lived in Watford for a while and was a season ticket holder there but Troy Deeney is a really underrated player in my opinion. Maybe hasn't scored as many as he should have but creates a lot and is a real handful all game, never gives up. And I am currently living in Japan and they show a lot of Leicester games due to Okazaki and he really is a great player. If he was a few years younger he would be so perfect for this Liverpool team, reminds me a little of Ings but has some real quality to him. Kante, as the Ed said, has had a truly incredible season!

Luis Suarez. oh my.

reus9

1.) 16 Mar 2016 21:33:50
I still cheer when he scores.

2.) 16 Mar 2016 21:49:05
Yes what a player he has become! I pray to god that if we get champions league football in the next few years we never draw Barcelona!

3.) 16 Mar 2016 22:14:29
Pah!

I'm not scared of Barcelona, we can thrash anyone on our day!

4.) 16 Mar 2016 22:31:51
That's a big IF mate 😂.

5.) 17 Mar 2016 00:29:19
With ron on this to be honest, the only reason english teams are rubbish in europe now is that they kiss everyones arse and get scared as soon as they come up against anybody of note.

Liverpool under rafa, chelsea in 2012, united in 2008, these teams didn't fear anybody and found a way to win.

Now we have arsenal and city flapping it in the round of 16 every year.

Ed 1 - what are your thoughts on ngolo kante? Would you rate him in the top 5 midfielders in the Prem?

What a player. I am more impressed each time I watch him play. Any idea if he will move in the summer and which sides have shown interest?

reus9

{Ed001's Note - I love him as a player, I was saying on one of the sites how he has been like having 3 in midfield on his own at times. The lad is incredible. On form alone he has been the best midfielder in the Prem this season. The only question is whether he can do this every season or if he is having a purple patch.}

1.) 15 Mar 2016 05:41:15
He is a fantastic player and one of the best in that position. When most other teams field 3 CM for stability, Leicester played with 2 CM home and away. Fantastic on the ball.

2.) 15 Mar 2016 12:09:17
In France, midfield players like Kante are called "Le Poumon de l`equipe" as in "The Team`s Lung". This is used to describe a midfielder capable of literally covering every blade of grass on the pitch. Some teams have one and it makes them really good like Spain had with Marcos Senna at Euro 2008. Leicester with Drinkwater and Kante, have two which makes them an unplayable midfield.

After JH tagged me on Twitter, I knew Liverpool was the right club for me. It was told I was a "top target" as the club are looking to collect as many attacking mids as possible for Brendan's new 0-0-11-0 formation next year!
