I would like to take a minute to say what a pass for Darwin's goal from Trent.
Having been guilty of having a go at Trent in the last few months I have to hold my hands up and say sorry young man you are so talented.
There are not many players even the elite players could make that pass.

I still think he would make a great number 10 .

Also what a pass from Mo that needs to be highlighted .

Alison was and is worth every penny we paid for him and more we have these imposters who claim to be best keeper in the world but the world number one wears a Liverpool FC shirt .

Well done reds great win onwards and upwards.

Why does Trent playing one great pass warrant an apology he'll never see? It's not like it erases his form over the last few months, does it. We all know his ability is unmatched, that's why his rancid form was so infuriating in the first place.

Mo’s pass to Gakpo was better in my opinion.

Darwin’s touch and finish was world class along with the pass.

Everything that led to both goals was sublime football at it's highest level. The End.

Anonymous - because sometimes it’s nice to pause and praise a player when they do something well. Lord help us of all you want to do is focus on all the negatives and then hold that grudge for who knows how long until the player convinces you otherwise.

It was a fantastic pass and great interplay to open up the space for Trent to play the pass, but I actually thought it looked like a bad touch from Darwin and it just happened to bounce back and hit his chest. It didn't look to me like he meant to control it like that. After that I can't argue with the finish though. It was top class.

I’m not holding any grudges Faith, I loved Trent when he was playing well and I still loved him when he was playing badly. It was only ever going to be temporary.

My issue is with reactionary flip flopping between people claiming he is the best right back in the world (he still is) and then claiming he’s useless and can’t defend whenever the media noise gets too loud. They get embarrassed and sucked into the football Hot Takes maelstrom, compelled to slag off their own players out of embarrassment inflicted by 24/ 7 internet chatter.

He’s driven me mad this season but so have all the players. I knew he wasn’t the problem. If you’re willing to ‘apologise’ or eat your hat after Trent playing one world class pass, something which we all know is his bread and butter, then I find that to be pretty shallow and childish.

Best right back in the world what are you drinking?

Anonymous Woolback, I don't pay attention to flip floppers cos they can never seem to stick to their points. They will always support the prevailing narrative depending on wherever the wind is blowing you know, like Gary Neville.

He is definitely in the argument for best rb in the world, Otts. I can't think of many I'd rather have tbh.

I’m glad he’s starting to find some form again. He was absolutely dreadful at the start of the season.
His passing is world class though and seems to be getting even better, you can see Nunez starting to get on the end of them now as well.
Is the he best in the world at RB? For me, when he’s on form he is the best yeah. I don’t think he’s the best at defending but he’s decent enough for a top team, but what he does in offence leap frogs him over anyone else for me. Let’s hope this seasons early poor form was just a blip and he continues to improve. Hard to believe he’s still so young as well.

Only 3 come close to Trent IMO. James, Hakimi and Dumfries. Even then probably Trent hands down for me.
