Hello ed1 hope u well. Would u go full strength tomorrow nite considering we playing arsenal sat eve? Tricky 1 as from an attacking sense we could do with confidence building win and hopefully couple of goals from our attackers. on the other hand we will need to be on it and full of energy for arsenal. i've seen arsenal a lot of times this season, and wasn't overly impressed at start of season but there last 2 games against villa and Brighton I thought they excellent. (lost against villa alright but I thought they unlucky) . we could be just getting them at wrong time. I'd tend not to start vvd or trent, think we need them for Sat. Ali won't be starting anyway as it league cup.

{Ed001's Note - I don't know mate, these days you have to listen to sports scientists as players are not fit enough to play multiple games without getting injured. Gravenberch couldn't even manage 90 min at the weekend without pulling out with "fatigue" injury for heaven's sake. There is something seriously wrong with the training.

I would want to go strong because every competition should be played to win but we know Klopp will go with youth.}

It's one of them for me, play the youth. I want us to win every single game we play no matter what competition it is but when we have Arsenal around the corner we can't go playing our best 11 only a couple of days beforehand. We need our lads fit and it'd concern me if I saw our best team tomorrow.

I can’t believe I’m reading this? Wembley Iso just around the corner and if Klopp doesn’t play our strongest team available then I give up?

Brilliant opportunity to win a cup.

The one player I would certainly start is Nunez, to try and play him into goal scoring form.

I suppose it all depends on where Klopp feels this team and squad are and which is the priority or whether he feels we can go full strength for both.

I’ve seen a few over the last few days suggest that we are in a rebuild but in every league game this season at least 8 or 9 players of the starting 11 were here last season (most far longer) and 16 or 17 of the match day squads the same. Yes we signed 4 new players and lost 2 but it’s hard to find another club in the league who didn’t do the same or more. Perhaps this season every team is in a rebuild including the current League and European Champs.

I think if we were away tonight we might see a different line up but because we are home I think Klopp goes stronger and will look something like this

Kelleher (would not be surprised to see Allison mind)
Gomez
Vvd
Quansah
Tsimikas
Endo
Jones
Elliot
Salah
Nunez
Gakpo.

Ideally we start with a decent team get a few goals and then sub on a few younger squad players.
With all the sports science and Drs on the payroll the information should be there to get the best team for any game played.

Hit the bloody big nail in there @JK on the rebuild. if you swallow that logic every team in this diviosn is undergoing a rebuild. As I have said below. its a coward stance.

Ed001, further to your comments about TAA and Szoboszlai being "creative midfielders", I would suggest that Mac Allister and Gravenberch are similar in playing style. The question is do you think one or more is surplus, maybe? ?.

{Ed001's Note - they are different types though, so there is a place for them all potentially.}

Harry I don’t think it’s as extreme as a cowards stance mate.

I think we are in transition but so are most teams every season when they bring new players into the squad.

A rebuild is rebuilding everything. Our last rebuild started when Klopp took over from Rogers and every player in that squad day 1 against Spurs was gone within 2-3 seasons.

Harry, the ONLY person with the cowardly stance is you. It was you who said we would finish midtable this season before a ball was kicked, a weak and pathetic stance lacking NO confidence whatsoever in this team. Now, you have cowardly switched your stance and start talking down to people with all types of chest as if you are some kind of genius who knew all along we would be here one point behind first? Miss me with your goalpost shifting dust and take that somewhere else.

So don't come on here and start calling anyone speaking their opinions as having cowardly stances cos even you NEVER believed in this team. Oh and btw, you were wrong on that cos we will NOT be finishing midtable this season. So we outperformed the prediction you the "brave" LFC fan, stated. Who's the coward now, yeah?

We are in a rebuild and the growing pains of a rebuild (new tactics, new players, new combinations etc. ) are still there to see and to be worked on. Those are facts on the ground. Read it and weep.

We've got to go with our strongest team. We've got a great chance to win this cup and the europa and we should be going all out to do so.

You don't really understand the definition of the word Coward, i don't settle for mediocrity. you on the other hands seems enjoying it and call it as some sort of rebuilding. You have already given up on the league which according to your own standard (best rated fans across the solar system) is pretty poor.

How on earth is it a new tactic dude? we have been playing this way since the start of last season. So when you say we are into rebuilding, does it mean we are slowing building ourself to master this way of playing which is the inverted hybrid. somehting you don't like at all lol.

You don't like the inverted, you can't blame klopp, you don't expect it to be back to 4-3-3. so when exactly would this so called rebuild gets over?

Would elliott not be worth a go in salah spot when he goes til afcon? I know klopp usually likes pace in wide areas up top, which elliott isn't blessed with but he is excellent finisher and with his performances this season off bench would he not b worth try there for few games in row?

We’ve signed 4 players this year and 5 last season. So our rebuild must be 2 seasons in now. Players come and go every season, sometimes at least 3 a season so when does a rebuild finish ?‍♂️.
It can’t be used as an excuse regardless, every top club purchase new players every season, some even win leagues and CL while doing so.

Why are we spending so much energy debating whether we are in a rebuild or not? Just listen to Klopp's own words and how he has talked about this being Liverpool 2.0 and building towards the team he wants them to be.
