The worry with Klopp, Ljinders etc all going, how many players will want to leave too?

I don’t see a mass exodus in all honesty. I think Thiago and Matip are practically gone. Phillips will likely leave, apart from that maybe Salah. why would others want to leave?

Do you believe that Trent may consider his options now, with his contract running down? Will this affect Salah's or Virgil's renewal?

It does feel like the end of an era is looming, in more ways than one.

{Ed002's Note - I am surprised the club wished to go down the route of saying something when continuity would perhaps be something they wish to negotiate. It is unclear how it will impact the players.}

I can't see players wanting to leave unless the next manager is unlikable or controversial. Higher wages elsewhere can be tempting but there's only a handful of teams who compare with Liverpool in terms of prestige. We are a youngish team currently on top of the best league in the world. The immediate future looks bright for players as well as fans.

I think a lot depends on a few things like how much success we have this season for one. If we win a trophy or two, I can't imagine a lot of players wanting to leave a successful team.
Secondly, the managerial appointment will likely have a big effect. If we bring in someone the players wat or a 'big name' etc, that could encourage them to stay on too.

Don’t be so naive, many players sign and leave due to the influence of a manager. Liverpool are no different.

Bakedbeanboy, I don't see that happeneing or at least not yet. These guys are professionals and they love playing for the club and the fans and yeah, losing Klopp is a big blow but I fully expect that the veteran players will not just jump ship cos of that. I just don't see it.

In my 40 plus years of supporting Liverpool I can’t remeremember too many players moving on because a manager left, can you Leek ?.

This time last year we would have all bet our houses on Hendo our leader not jumping ship.

He had less resilience than the Utd defence when an offer came in.

Not many players move on because a manager leaves but plenty move on when a new manager joins.
