For a club filled with such joy and passion, the lows we get as a club are always the worst. This is the most tragic of circumstances to a hugely popular soul amongst the squad. The hurt I feel from this is that of I need to reset and reevaluate my life to ensure I’m happy coz it’s way too short to not be happy.

For me as a child coming down the stairs in my grandmothers house to see grown men crying on a Saturday as a 4 year old thinking someone in my family died, they had, 96, soon to be 97. It’s all I remember from that day coz it was explained to me so often why they were crying. Thursday 3rd of July has become my Hillsborough moment, I stood and cried like I knew Diogo personally. I will never forget where I was when the news filtered through, I’ve cried multiple times since. I’m just so glad we had him, I’m so glad I’ve seen his best years doing what he loved best, but he deserved so much better and so much more. May he and his brother rest in peace and eternal strength be granted upon all his friends, family wife and kids, and all the wider family of LFC. Peace be with us all.

We carry so much Tragedy, but we have never forgotten them.

We’ve built up a strength from being in that Hell, found a way to carry on, and bring those people with us everywhere we go.

Diogo died too young, we can’t yet process it. But what I do know is he won’t be forgotten, he’ll be with us forever, because we’ve been here before, and nobody that gets taken away too early gets left behind at this Club.

There won’t be a day goes by that Diogo Jota isn’t in the hearts of every Liverpool Fan.
