Hello ed1 hope u good. Do u reckon any of young lads good enough to make a claim for a 1st team spot during pre season? It's been a while since we had 1 come three to challenge for a 1st team spot, quansah last one I think and that's going back 2 seasons.
{Ed001's Note - probably not. The only real possibility is at left-back, but that would require Tsimikas or Robertson to leave. Both of them going would mean that one of them would have to step up.}

McConnell looks ready to me, as does Baj, at least to be rotation players in the squad. let's see how they perform in pre-season.

{Ed001's Note - the problem is the quality of the players ahead of them, rather than their ability. Same with McConnell. Good enough to play, but not good enough to get into our team. It is going to be interesting to see how Slot goes about getting them enough game time to develop.}

Danns was the one I held high hopes for but he has had awful run with injuries last couple of seasons, came at v bad time for him.
