According to Capology, Alisson signed his deal in 2021 until 2027. I take it the further one year extension keeps him with us until 2028.

It's to 2027, I believe.
Original contract was to 2026, with a club option to extend to 2027.
I believe all that has happened here is the club exercised their club option to extend to 2027.

Davey, you are spot-on. It clearly allows the club to get a fee if Alisson moves on in Summer 2026, as I suspect will happen.

I believe he is looking to go back to Brazil but would consider Spain too.
He has been a fantastic servant of the club, but he is definitely part of the group that are past their best.

Still think if you put a top partner with Van Dijk, he's a top CB. Gabriel gets a lot of plaudits this year, but it doesn't half help having Saliba beside ye.
