There has been a few rumours about Djed Spence signing and while I'm not against it, I think if we were targeting a versatile fullback we're surely missing a trick by not looking at Neco Williams who would be around the same price, same age, is homegrown and academy trained.
Nottingham Forest also seem to be looking at fullbacks (Read, Dodo, Oso etc) so they may be prepared to lose Neco Williams if they can get their targets signed.

Neco Williams came through our academy and was there from the age of 6. Although he is not 'Scouse born and bred' like others, I would still be surprised if he agreed to join Man Utd.

Although ASB may have meant Spence off to Man U, which would make more sense!
I would love to have Neco back, but will he want to be an option rather than a shoe-in when Bradley is back? Albeit the opportunity could be grasped by either of them.

If Williams signed for us, he would be 1st choice RB for the simple reason that he can keep himself available for selection.
