My feeling is we get Diomande or Rayan at a huge price because I don’t think there is anybody out there who we would accept as a replacement for Mo Salah. I think the club is expected to go big because of Salah going early.

I wonder who we also sign at right back.

I really think the club should have let Salah see out his contract instead of pushing him out the door before we even have a replacement.

I'd take Rayan every day and Sunday over the Barcola. We shouldn't even be considering Barcola.

I think it was time for Salah to go personally. I know some think he was within his rights to kick off last season, but I think he was bang out of order.

By all means have a whinge if you think things aren't going the way they should, but do it behind closed doors. Running to the press and social media only causes issues and doesn't help the team. It's the team that is most important, not Mo Salah.

I look at managers like Shankly or Ferguson. As soon as a player remotely started to show signs they thought they were bigger than the club, they were out the door. No matter who they were.

Mo let himself and the club down last season, so we were absolutely right to get him out the door. We need to build a future and Mo is the past. He just wasn't self aware or humble enough to see it.

Taurus01, too many bridges had been burned, so Salah was right to leave even if it is clear it was against his own wishes.

Rios, let it go. You clearly were not listening to what Salah actually said the first time. He said he had no relationship with the manager unlike the prev. season. So clearly nothing was happening "behind closed doors".

If the manager is not communicating with you, the star player, and things are going bad, and he is being scapegoated for it (imo), then, should the star player/legend just shut up? If that is what you think, then, you are unaware about what star player-manager relationships are like.

Neither did Slot, for that matter.

"Mo let himself down." Rubbish. Salah was vindicated at the end of the day and the fans backed him cos what ever it is that happened at first was validated at the end of the season in front of their very own eyes. Salah is a bigger legend to tons in the fan base for speaking out on behalf of the club he loves. The rest is white noise.

If Salah stayed, he would expect to start every game, if he is not starting, he would cause more trouble. Can't have players acting like he did in the media, it upsets the collective squad. Thanks for the good times, but time to move on now.
