Looking forward to seeing some of the younger players in next few weeks - especially given Slot seemed allergic to giving them a chance - lot of chat on here (standard in the transfer window). But for me we’ve already made the biggest signing we needed in Iraola - last season was painful to watch - personally couldn’t care less if we sign or miss out on any of our supposed targets - front foot, fast, aggressive, attacking football is what I’m looking forward to seeing - not some statement signings - the wrong guy blew £500 million last year - how did that work out again? Klopp didn’t need City cash, I don’t think Iraola will either - Remember when we beat Barcelona without Mo? Top fancy new signings don’t guarantee anything (look at Madrid).
The right manager and 11 players running through brick walls will do for me.

Good post, mate, but Alison, Vvd & Fab all played that night and weren't cheap (2 of them record fees for their positions), and they very much changed our fortunes from almost to CL & title winners.
Signing the right players is key.
If Iraola is to be successful he'll need to get a tune out of last season's statement signings that supposedly blew the budget.

Agree, JK - my only response would be - Alison and VVD are still here (admittedly older), and Wirtz, Isaak etc weren't exactly for buttons - we have a good squad, imo, mate - just need the right guy to get a proper tune out of them - first season under Slot and guys were raving about him being the best DM in the league - Slot V.20 ego now out of control with a league medal decides nah mate I want you playing as a 10, with Wirtz, Macca and everyone else on the pitch - no wonder we were getting ripped a new one every week - I concede we are a bit light in a few spots, but it doesn't worry me much, mate - can't win everything.
I just want to see us look good trying.

Crazy, all true mate, but Klopp did spend big also. The guys a legend but the likes of Ali, Vvd, Fab, Nunez, Szob, Kieta, Diaz, Jota, Gakpo, Salah, Ox and Mane all cost a fair whack in regards to transfer costs at the time of their purchases.
Hopefully Iraola can get a tune out of this squad mate, because apparently we have the highest wage bill in the league despite how many holes or lightweight we are.
