Seems our transfer modus operandi is to either
1. Prolonged negotiation for players that want us only, but we still end up paying over the odds.
2. Hijack deals after other clubs had done the hard work negotiating.
With it being deadline day, suppose not enough time for 1.

In all fairness Barcola was a much better deal than I was expecting in this market, and with Hughes busy double-jobbing, is it any wonder we're letting other teams do the legwork before swooping in? He's a busy man, cut him some slack. It can't be easy trying to do half your business in Arabic.

Apparently Hughes pulled out of the Kone and Camarra deals when he found out both players weren’t injured.
